Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to physicians and nurses by assisting with patient care, administrative tasks, and clinical procedures. A strong focus on patient service, professionalism, and confidentiality is essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and prepare patients for examination, taking vital signs and medical history

Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures

Administer injections, perform EKGs, and collect lab specimens

Schedule appointments and manage patient records using EMR systems

Handle phone calls, prescription refills, and insurance verifications

Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and supplies

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred

Previous experience in a medical office or clinic is a plus

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
