✨ May Sensory Playtime! ✨

Join us for a playful, connection-filled experience designed especially for parents and their little ones! (Intended for ages 0-3, but older kids are welcome!)
Sensory Playtime offers hands-on exploration, new sensory experiences, opportunities to learn new Spanish and ASL words/signs,, and opportunities to build meaningful connections through play. 💚

🗓 May 11th, 2026
⏰ 4:30–5:00 p.m.
📍 Central Library – Thielen Room

This is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, engage your child’s senses, and connect with other families in our community.

Give your child time to respond ⏳

After you ask a question or make a comment, try pausing for a few seconds before jumping in. That extra wait time gives your child a chance to process what you said and attempt a response—even if it’s just a sound, gesture, or single word.

Example: “Do you want more bubbles?” … pause … “More?”

These little pauses can make a big difference in building confidence and encouraging communication! 💛

Nothing beats a simple day at the park! Pack some snacks, bring a ball or bubbles, and let your little one explore, climb, and play. Parks are the perfect place for kids to build gross motor skills, practice social interaction, and burn off energy in a fun, natural way.

Try turning it into a mini adventure—go on a nature scavenger hunt, hit the splash pad, have a picnic, and take a short walk together and talk about what you see! 💚
