After hearing it for months in the womb, a baby’s brain is already familiar with the sound and often finds it comforting and calming.

🗓Monday, March 16th from 4:30-5:00 p.m. at the Central Library- Thielen Room for children 0-3 years old. This program is FREE to all attendees. English-to-Spanish translation services are available.

🧠 Monday Minute Parenting Tip
Give kids a countdown for transitions.

Sudden transitions are hard for children because their brains are deeply focused on what they’re doing. When play suddenly ends, frustration often follows.

Try giving a simple countdown before the change:
⏱️ “Alright buddy, we're leaving in five minutes.”
⏱️ “We have two more minutes to play outside.”
⏱️ “One more minute, then we go inside.”

This helps children prepare their brains for the change, which often reduces whining, meltdowns, and resistance.

You’re not “giving in” — you’re helping their brain shift gears 💛

✨Saturday Business Spotlight✨
The Art Factory is a nonprofit organization in SWLA with the goal of inspiring creativity, educating, and fostering community through making art!
They host many programs, but we want to highlight the Sensory Art Explorers program- a FREE program for children 1-5 years old to have new sensory experiences through art. Classes are every Friday from 10:30-11:30😄

And we have new fun activities and mediums for your littles to explore!
