Lake Como Sanitary District No. 1 is aware of the high nitrate levels that were detected in the Williams Bay Water System.

The health and safety of our Lake Como Sanitary District community is our top concern.

Currently, Lake Como Sanitary District Water System DOES NOT have any containment levels that exceed the maximum allowable by the DNR.

LCSD just submitted our routine yearly water samples. If any testing comes back higher than the allowable amount, LCSD will notify all residents and any action that will need to be taken, if necessary.

Lake Como Sanitary District respects the concerns of all our residents as many have reached out. We just wanted to reach out to our community to hopefully eliminate any current concern within our water system.

DON’T FORGET TO CLEAR A 4 FT. AREA AROUND THE FIRE HYDRANT WHEN CLEARING SNOW!

You can do your part to help emergency fire responders by keeping nearby fire hydrants accessible and clear of ice and snow. In addition to removing the snow that is covering the hydrant itself, it is important to clear a 4-foot perimeter around the hydrant, and to maintain a shoveled path from the street or driveway to the fire hydrant.

Fire hydrants that are blocked, concealed, or difficult to access due to snow can impede emergency fire response.

Help keep your home and family safe from winter fire hazards by ensuring the fire hydrants in your neighborhood are clear and readily accessible in an emergency.

FREEZING TEMPS+WATER=FROZEN METERS/PIPES!
Please protect your water lines and meter from freezing. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to keep your meters from freezing which could result in busted meters and flooding.
Please call the office to report any leaks or frozen pipes.
If you are not a full time resident and would like LCSD to remove your meter to prevent freezing, please call the office to schedule!
Please check all interior plumbing and meters-especially those located in unoccupied homes or meters located in crawl spaces.

NOTICE OF WATER SERVICE DISRUPTION

On TUESDAY, AUGUST 6TH 2024, Lake Como Sanitary District will be performing a water repair on LARCH.

**THE ONLY AFFECTED AREAS WILL BE ON LARCH RD-BETWEEN LINCOLN & LONGFELLOW*

There will be a temporary water service interruption on TUESDAY, AUGUST 6TH, 2024 from apprx. 7:30 AM-12:00 PM for the repair
You will have no water service to your property. We will make every effort to expedite this work to minimize the length of time the water will be shut down. Please take appropriate steps to store water for your anticipated needs during this time.

Also note that after the water is restored, you may notice some discoloration to your water. We recommend you run your cold water until clear before consumption or doing laundry.
