I wanna have a really raw moment, The photos in this post are the reason this organization exists.
For context I found these in another IHSS group, I've blocked all names and photos.
The provider asked the recipient for their WiFi password because they ran out of data. The recipient denied her the password stating she didnt know it and her son had it. The provider explained she couldn't afford to pay for extra data and eluded to that being the reason behind asking to be on the recipients network. I personally dont believe the provider was asking the recipient to pay for anything but instead allowing some vulnerability and transparency. I believe the recipient read and took this situation wrong.
At a minimum the recipient could have contacted her son for the password or even had the provider contact the son for the password.
Ultimately it is this situation and the comments that show the animosity towards providers. This is why we need a voice and support. Someone had to relinquish a stream of income due to the employer not having any care or concern for another person.
