WHITNEY STEYER MOT, OTR/L

Hi, I’m Whitney, a licensed Occupational Therapist and Autism Specialist with nearly 20 years of experience working with vulnerable populations. I believe that every child communicates in their own way, and that real progress begins when a child feels safe, understood, and connected.
I use a playful, relationship-based approach to help children build the skills they need for everyday life—such as regulation, engagement, communication, and independence. I meet each child where they are and create therapy sessions that feel supportive, meaningful, and fun.
I value close collaboration with families and other providers and am passionate about supporting children through a team-based approach. By working together, we can create care that feels consistent, supportive, and centered on each child.

Having my clients sing “Happy Birthday” to me is a reminder of how far they’ve come and how meaningful this journey truly is. I am beyond grateful for the best kids and the best families — families who think of me even outside of sessions and trust me to be part of their child’s growth.

This sweet kiddo was my last patient of 2025 — and what makes it even more special is that their family is one of the main reasons I started my own private practice.

Back in 2022, after working with her, her mom gave me one of the kindest compliments I’ve ever received in my 13 years as a speech therapist. I remember going home that day and telling my husband, “I think you’re right… I think I should start my own private practice.”

And here we are — three years later — Thrive + Conquer is real.

As 2025 comes to an end, I’m incredibly grateful for listening to my husband, taking a leap of faith, and for every family who trusted me with their child’s speech and language journey. I’m truly enjoying the process and can’t wait to see what 2026 brings. (Manifesting an occupational therapist and a social worker next… )😂✨

We are so proud of this amazing kid for meeting all of his speech goals and making huge gains in his overall intelligibility! His hard work, consistency, and family support truly paid off!!!

When I first started working with this little guy, he could only say a couple of words. Today, on our last day, I heard him say a 5-word sentence at just 2 years old!!!!! I am so incredibly proud of him and the progress he’s made. What an amazing journey!!!
