I want to share a couple of things this morning. First; a huge thank you to my clients. New, old and somewhere in between. February has been one of my ultimate best months. Not because of staying busy or receiving income for something I hold in my heart as a “calling”. But because of the incredible level of gratitude I feel for being where I am, for being with who I am with daily (you) and for being in a space I love so much. Maybe it is simply the older I get the more I appreciate everything and everyone.

As some of you know, after my friend Jay passed away several years ago (someone I met with regularly for coffee/tea and laughter), my former choir teacher John Nielsen stepped up and began a new tradition with me. We meet once a month and catch each other up on life. Last week, he showed up with a “gift”.

My grandmother used to crochet and sew a lot. She made each of us at least one afghan. Over the years mine had become tattered and torn and ended up being tossed. Along comes John. He presented me with one of my grandma’s blankets that she had made for him as a gift at my graduation, thanking him for teaching her grandchildren. He has kept it safe and beautiful all these years. It now will be a part of my work space, along with my mom’s Navajo rugs given to her when she married my stepdad.

I feel surrounded by love. In every direction. And my heart is so thankful.

I am still giggling and floating on CLOUD 9!!!!! I don’t think I have ever felt so honored. 🫶🏻

I am a happy team member at The Hair Loft in Lamoni, practicing massage along side of Abbey Case (owner and hair stylist) and Alex Booth (nail tech). We have this wonderful mix of baby gurgles, toddler screeches and “big girl” play dates and laughter. It has been so fun working with these ladies who sometimes bring their babies to work.

The other day Abbey sent me this picture saying her daughter was playing like she was a massage therapist. She needed lotion. Mom got her lotion. No— she needed lotion on a belt thingy like Rhonda wears!!!! (Notice the string belt holding the lotion in place! 🤣)
