Carolina Honduras Health Foundation

Carolina Honduras Health Foundation CHHF works collaboratively with the community in the Dept. Of course, we need medical professionals to volunteer at our clinics in Honduras.

of Colón, Honduras, to improve overall health via health education, community development, medical referrals, & primary care (medical, dental, vision & pharmaceutical) clinics. Volunteers without medical training can lead teams, assist in the pharmacy, serve as interpreters, etc. Volunteers also participate with various ministry programs including providing Bible studies and helping with maintenance efforts or undertaking construction projects. If you are interested in participating in a mission trip, contact us now. Volunteers can also assist in many other ways without leaving home. Can you help promote the work of CHHF through social media or help raise funds? If you have a skill that may help our mission, contact us to volunteer.

It's World Toilet Day! 🌎

Did you know that 3.5 billion people lack access to safely managed sanitation? World Toilet Day (November 19th) is a UN-designated day to drive action on this global crisis.

At CHHF, we're doing our part. We're setting an ambitious goal to provide functioning, sustainable toilets to schools and clinics in Honduras throughout 2026. Join us in making a difference!

October 16th saw the last of our In-Person Service for 2025!

This year, 16 teams called our clinic in Limón home…that’s over 72 clinics held across The Dept of Colon over the span of 9 months. Any guesses on how many individual visits that accounts for!? One clue, it was a 4 digit number…submit your guess in the comments below, we’ll be back next week with the grande total!

(AND the mission continues through the rainy season via telehealth! DM us or email courtneytidwell@chhf.org for more information on how to become a telehealth provider!)

It’s , so we’ve reached into the vault and pulled this photo! Please help us identify the provider photographed by tagging them, as we’d like to send the physical copy to them in the mail and learn more about this service moment!

Keep an eye here on Thursdays, as we’ve been gifted an archive of photos developed between 1995-2005 that we’ll be posting & then sending to those photographed if we can locate them or their family.

Share this post to expand our reach!

Saturday morning was such a blast! We had such a great time fellowshipping as a CHHF community; 1-3 miles of walking, hot dogs sizzling on the grill, laughing as we tie-dyed our shirts…all while raising funds to support our mission to provide healthcare to nuestros amigos en rural Honduras.

Thanks to everyone who participated, both in person and remote!

Late Night Scrolling > Sleep

A study that included young adults in Honduras indicated an average bedtime of 10:55 PM on workdays. According to a Johns Hopkins study, American college students go to bed around 1 AM and graduate students around 2:30 AM. 🥱

Gladis (Community Program, Health and Education Administrator - Honduras) and Courtney (Team Lead Coordinator - USA) both agree that 9:30pm is the best time to wind down...although life frequently insists otherwise. 😅

What about you!? Comment below the country you live in and what time you plan on drifting to sleep tonight!
