💙 Happy Birthday to Nurse Linda 💙

There’s a kind of peace that comes from knowing someone like Linda is here at camp. She brings calm when things get hectic and comfort when someone needs it most. Her kindness shows in every small moment, the way she listens, the way she cares, and how she always seems to know what someone needs before they even ask.

Linda, you have touched so many lives with your compassion and steady heart. Thank you for everything you give to our campers and staff. We hope today brings you the same warmth, laughter, and love that you share so freely all year long.

We’re so thankful for all the love and time you give to Lions Bear Lake Camp! From jumping in to help in the kitchen during the busy summer months to lending a hand to Nurse Linda, you always go above and beyond for our campers and staff. Your kindness and hard work never go unnoticed.

You’re also one of the first to show up for our annual Workbee, helping make sure camp is ready for another amazing season of memories. We couldn’t do what we do without people like you who give so selflessly.

🏃‍♂️Bear Lake Ultra- Still Going Strong!!☀️

We are 6 hours into the Bear Lake Ultra Marathon and runners are going strong. The aid station is in full swing with drinks and snacks keeping the runners nourished and well hydrated in the heat.

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ And they’re off! The 2025 Bear Lake Ultra Marathon is officially underway! 🌲✨

At sunrise, 141 runners stepped onto the trails with one shared goal: to make a difference for Lions Bear Lake Camp. For 24 hours, they’ll run through the woods, across open fields, and under the stars, pushing themselves not just for the challenge, but for the campers who call this place their home away from home.

This event wouldn’t exist without Rob Lykins. His dedication, along with the support of his family, has made this more than just a race. It’s a tradition rooted in generosity and love for the camp and the kids who come here each summer.

This year’s Ultra raised $14,600 for Lions Bear Lake Camp. That money helps us give children of all abilities the chance to grow, to play, and to feel like they belong. We are so grateful.

Thank you to Rob. Thank you to the Lykins family. Thank you to every runner who signed up, every volunteer who gave their time, and every sponsor who believed in what we do.

You’re all part of something bigger than the miles.

Even though you moved at the end of summer, you’ll always be part of our Bear Lake family. You jumped right in last June and became a rockstar in the kitchen. The way you poured yourself into food prep, the way your kindness filled the room, and the way your personality lifted everyone around you is something we’ll never forget.

We want to share that the Lions of Michigan Weekend, originally scheduled for September 26–27, 2025, has been canceled this year.

This weekend is always a special time at Lions Bear Lake Camp, where Lions from across Michigan gather to connect, celebrate service, and show support for the place that has touched so many lives. While it’s hard not to welcome everyone to camp this fall, the heart of what we do here continues every single day, giving children and families a place to grow, learn, and belong.

We look forward to the next time we can gather together at Bear Lake and share the joy this camp brings to so many. 💛
