Efficiency! How many times do you touch something before it ends up where it belongs? For example, your mail…how many times is it looked at, sorted, moved until it ends up in the trash or a bill to be paid? How many people go through it? When the mail comes in, sort it and throw away the junk (which, in my house, that is most of the mail) and put the bills to be paid with the checks. If you are really efficient you write the checks for the bills and get them ready to be mailed and file the paid bill! No time waisted in that scenario, but do we do it??
