Are you unmotivated to exercise at home? 🤷🏻♀️
If you're still unable to go to a gym, I'm sure you're feeling frustrated with fitness in general. What can you do at home that will have any benefit? Maybe you're even feeling like what's the point of trying 😔
😃You can always work on your lunges!🦵It can be done without weights, and are a compound exercise, which means they recruit more than one muscle group as you perform the movement 👍
Lunges help with balance, and target:
👉Quadriceps (front of your thighs)
👉Gluteus Maximus (BUTT🍑)
👉Hamstrings (back of your thighs)
👉Calves (lower leg muscles)
🤜and Core (abs, lower back)
☑️If you're new to lunges, start by stepping backwards instead of forward. Keep your front knee over your heel as much as possible (not over the toes), and bring both your legs to roughly a 90 degree angle. As you come up from the lunge, push through your front heel, and make sure you keep your back straight and your chest up. Hold the back of a chair/railing of some sort if you need assistance in the beginning☑️
⭐️Lunges are one of the best exercises to do other than squats, and will keep you motivated and continuing to build muscle while you're pushing through quarantine.
