Immune Boost - The essential oils chosen for this blend was based on the chemical components and their benefits.

- contains a large amount 1.8 cineole which has antiviral, antimicrobial, and immunostimulant properties.

- due to a high amount of terpinen-4-ol, which activates white blood cells, is antibacterial, antiviral, and immunostimulant.

- contains linalol, which is also an immunostimulant, antiviral, and antibacterial. Linalol is an analgesic and an airborne antimicrobial.

- contains a high amount of limonene which also activates white blood cells, thus helping in immune support. It also brings a nice aroma to the blend.

, specifically thyme ct. linalol contains a variety of components such as y-terpinene, linalol, terpinen-4-ol, and limonene, all which help support the immune system, as stated above.

I apologize to my followers for not posting in a while. Our family’s mood and inspiration level hasn’t been so great since our beloved Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Augie, passed away a few weeks ago. I new that we would be getting another Corgi, but not so soon. Found the perfect one so I decide to share with you all. Here is Elvis.

My Little Store has Re-opened.

My aromatherapy studio has been closed, except for blends that I have made for a few friends and family. I am finally able to re-open since I can now purchase my sanitation supplies.

However, not all products will be available right away. I have chosen three products that I feel are important during this time: Immune Boost Inhaler, Take it Easy Inhaler, and my Whipped Body Butter #3. While the Whipped Body Butter is wonderful for your hands, I will also be developing a hard butter for your hands that would give a little extra protection against dryness.

Over the few days I will be re-introducing you to these products and why they can be beneficial to our systems.

The Aromatherapy Studio is temporarily closed until sanitation equipment arrives, but the dining room has turned into a Sewing Studio. Made our mock-up mask yesterday.

We are using my grandmother’s and my mother’s Singer Featherweights from the 1950’s. First we will make for family members, then if we still have enough material, for friends.

Tips for Keeping Hands Moisturized.

With all of the hand washing that we are doing, our hands can become dry and cracked. Just using hand lotion may not be enough.

After washing your hands spray Lavender Hydrosol on to them. Let the hydrosol dry (about one minute), then apply you favorite hand lotion, preferably one that is a bit thicker. A thicker lotion will absorb into the skin more slowly.

What is a hydrosol? Hydrosols are aromatic waters. Essential oils are produced through distillation of plant material. During this process the oils and water are separated. Thus we are left with two products: Essential Oils and Hydrosols.

Although each material comes from the same plant, their chemistry can be quite different. Hydrosols tend to be much gentler than their essential oil counterparts. Which is why they can be used in applications different from essential oils. While it is important to dilute essential oils in carriers, hydrosols can be sprayed directly on the skin.

In this particular case Lavender Hydrosol will be skin healing, adding that extra element to the moisturizing process.

If possible, after applying the hydrosol and lotion to your hands, try putting on cotton gloves, to give that added protection from the elements and to help keep the moisturizer from rubbing off.

Dear Customers and Followers,

Due to the shortage of sanitizing products I have decided to temporarily close my Little Shop. I would like to keep the supply of disinfectants open to the people that need them for everyday use.

I have ordered other forms of sterilization, that hopefully will arrive soon. Once I receive these items I will be able to resume taking orders.

Immune Boost Inhaler
As promised, I have taken a very good look at the different essential oils and have come up with a bend that I am sure sure can boost your immunity. However, remember that essential oils are not the only thing that can help. Make sure to eat right, be active, get the right amount of sleep, and consult with your herbalist. All of these things things together will help your immune system.

Key therapeutic properties:

This blend includes:
Ravintsara (Cinnamomun camphor ct.1,8 cineol), Sweet Marjoram (Oiganum majorana), Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis), Thymus vulgarism ct. linalol, and Ho Wood (Cinnamomum camphora)

I believe the synergy of these essential oils are amazing. I use many of these in my daily health as much as possible.

Due to the current state of affairs, I have decided to keep the price in line with what I would normally charge for this item. Honestly, I am in a state of shock or the price gouging on the Internet. I will keep this price as long as my suppliers (whom I trust) can keep this up as well.

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris ct. Linalol)
If you are blending for yourself or are looking for essential oil blends during our current crisis, you may want to make sure that the blend includes Thymus vulgaris ct. linalol.

This essential oil is an Immunostimulant, Antiviral, Antibacterial, Airborne antimicrobial, as well as other great properties.

This oil can be inhaled for respiratory health, immune support, and anxiety (which I think that quite a few of us are experiencing during this health crisis). Furthermore Thymus vulgaris ct. linalol is gentle and can be used in blends for children (although proper amounts should be considered)

I am in the process of formulating a blend that will include this essential oil that can be used in a diffuser, an inhaler, added to your sanitizer, any lotion, as well as to your liquid soap.

If you decide to purchase Thyme on your own, please be aware that there are different chemotypes that are being sold. ct. linalol is the gentle one, but Thymus vulgaris ct. thymol should be used with caution, as it can be irritating to the skin and mucous membrane, unless it is well diluted. It may also have potential drug interactions if taken orally (but as you all know, I do not advise any oral usage of essential oils, unless under the direct supervision of a specialist in oral consumption)

Desert Flower
We have been taking a break from our everyday lives and have been exploring. While this flower is nothing special, it is special in early March in the desert. What this means to me is that the desert may once again be green for a season.

It also reminds me of the power of the plant. While this one may not produce essential oils, it is nonetheless a reminder how powerful plants can be.

Melissa (Melissa officinalis)
This little oil can be quite powerful and could be used in small quantities. It emotional and energetic qualities include calming and cooling emotions, comforting during times of grieve, and can be also used to reduce insomnia.

The oil is steam distilled from the flowers and/or leaves, and is considered a middle note in perfumery.

Melissa can be a strong sedative, and is especially useful to reduce shock. As such is can also be used for relieving heart palpitations.

Due to its ani-inflammatory and analgesic properties it can be used in blends for aches & pains, injury, swelling, etc.

Historically, Melissa has be used to reduce fever, as it has cooling properties.

As will all essential oils, Melissa should be used safely in a dilution of below 1%. Also, it should be avoided in children under 2 years of age, and restricted to a 0.5% dilution during pregnancy.
