Who Am I and WHY am I creating this movement?
Hi, my name is Sweta Patel and I'm a former executive at some of the most renowned incubators in Silicon Valley.
-
Then something happened that changed my life forever, and it's impacting millions of women in the US and around the world. To be exact 1 in every 5 women in the US.
-
It's also how I found my own power and want to use this to bless other women and solve a national health epidemic across the US and around the world.
-
I was hit by another chronic illness. Not like the flu where life sucks for a week, you sleep it off, drink a hot toddy, and a ton of water.
-
This is a disease that I'll have to live with for the rest of my life in pain all the time while trying to appear to be "normal".
-
When I found this out I saw it as another obstacle that I had to overcome. I've lived with chronic illnesses my entire life.
-
It all began with epilepsy when I was 4 years old, which held me back in kindergarten.
-
Then as I was leaving high school, a trainer found me on the ground at the gym and called 911. Two days later I had autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Three years of high doses of prednisone and blood transfusions and it was controlled.
-
But the symptoms of brain fog, weight gain, dysfunctional digestive system, chronic fatigue will still stay with me. Among many other symptoms and allergies.
-
Every day I powered through working with some of the top minds in silicon valley while pushing through intense brain fog, chronic fatigue, and feeling like a walking zombie.
-
It was important that I press on. Keep going forward.
-
As I was leaving work one day, the founder came to me and said my job had been eliminated. No reason was given.
-
Deep down I knew it was related to my health issue.
-
This isn't just something I've been through - there are countless women (give a number) who have been through something similar.
-
My mindset was only 4 ways of dealing with an obstacle: over, under, around or through.
-
I started to Google. Research. Everything I could about Hashimotos. I went to 25 doctors who specialized in endocrinology and chronic illness.
They told me I would be at "high risk" without medication.
-
I wasn't sure what to believe. After spending over $280,000 I found out my thyroid wasn't the issue.
-
It was my adrenals, and I finally got to the real root cause after two binders of blood test, $280k in bills and 25 doctors.
-
Now, ask your self: Does this seem necessary?
-
Let’s make it simple here, what if I could have just stuck to my job and healed virtually without the lines, lies, and run around alone with the massive stack of medical bills.
-
Not only was I going through all of this - but I was going through it alone.
-
I was the black sheep in the family. I had no one to help me get through this.
No one should have to go through this, and they shouldn't have to go through it alone.
-
One day I decided to build a community with who I could connect because of my experiences. It was hard for me to relate to anyone.
-
My lifestyle was so different, and I didn't abuse my body.
-
I shared my story and I received numerous inquiries from women who wanted my help.
-
I quickly turned this around and wanted to share the love with this group by forming a company called Healveda where we connect and heal our autoimmune conditions together.
