Oriental Medicine Doctor She was an honors graduate of the Academy of Math, Science and Applied Technologies program at Edward W.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Ong knew her end goal was to somehow contribute to the wellbeing of her local community. Clark High School, but she didn’t know how to apply her interest in math and science until her grandmother became ill with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. This was when Dr. Ong personally witnessed how limiting conventional medical resources could be for patients with chronic illnesses. When her grandmother passed away about a year later, Dr. Ong decided to completely leave behind her world of accounting and finance to embrace a new life in the healthcare industry. Dr. Ong pursued a medical degree at the Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine) in Tempe, Arizona, where she earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine. After graduation, she moved back home to refine her skills in acupuncture and Eastern herbal medicine at Wongu University of Oriental Medicine, where she received her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. She now holds her naturopathic medical license through the state of Arizona, is a national board-certified acupuncturist with the designation Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOMⓇ), is endorsed by the Nevada Board of Oriental Medicine for the practice of Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy, and also serves as a NEXT Level Practitioner of the Neuro Emotional TechniqueⓇ (NETⓇ). Although trained in primary care, Dr. Ong eventually developed a special interest in women’s health and pediatrics. She has partnered with several reproductive endocrinologists in the Valley and works with couples to provide adjunctive care for their fertility treatments (IUI, IVF, etc). She also enjoys supporting women throughout their entire pregnancy, from miscarriage prevention, fetal development and labor support, all the way through postpartum recovery. With children, she often works on cases involving gut health, eczema, allergies, autism and ADHD. Some of the therapies Dr. Ong incorporates, include: nutrition and lifestyle counseling, functional medicine testing, botanical medicine, nature cure (aka hydrotherapy), homeopathy, applied kinesiology and acupuncture. Dr. Ong is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese Chinese, and a proud member of the following organizations:
- American Association of Naturopathic Physicians
- Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians
- Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians
- Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association

Hi! It's been a hot minute since I've posted on social media, so I thought it might be time for an update and reintroduction.

For those who don't know me, my name is Rachel Ong, and I am a licensed Naturopathic Physician as well as an Oriental Medicine Doctor currently practicing in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada.

If you're looking for someone who can help you navigate your health, by helping you understand your blood work and providing individualized, holistic options to target the root cause of your ailments, I am your gal! You see, the beauty of naturopathic medicine is that we're able to take advantage of the data available through modern science, and utilize that information to integrate conventional treatments alongside Eastern modalities to treat the person as a whole.

For those who do know me, I AM SO SORRY I've been away for so long! If the pictures haven't already given it away, it's because the last 1.5 years of our lives have changed so dramatically, in the best way possible 💕

Our little one is 6 months old today. Every day has been a different adventure, and the learning curve is definitely REAL! We're finally at a place where our schedules feel a little more predictable, so hopefully, that means I'll have more time to share my thoughts and experiences through this platform again.

Thinking about sharing stories about my journey through pregnancy and postpartum recovery along with the parenting tips and tricks that caught our attention. Drop a comment if you would like to see other topics be discussed as well.

If anyone is free this Sunday, my organization is hosting a danceathon for charity to honor a member's father who recently passed away from a hit-and-run situation. 100% of our proceeds will be donated to in his name.

Originally wanted to make it a contest, but I think it slowly evolved into a dance party without any competition. $5 for general admission and to dance your heart away, but any donation is appreciated.

The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday.

The festival commemorates the legendary poet Qi Yuan and involves dragon boat races and eating sticky rice dumplings (or as my in-laws like to call them "Chinese tamales").

It is a time for family gatherings, honoring ancestors, and promoting good health and protection against evil spirits.
