Man it feels like I haven’t made a post in a while — life, work, and honestly just a lack of motivation to take check-in photos for myself. For anyone that actually cares where I’m at with training, I’ve been doing nogi 3 times a week, 2 strength sessions, and about 4 cardio sessions split between the rower and jogging. Sitting around 180–182lbs right now, eating roughly 2100 calories a day with one cheat meal a week. Being 32 now, my goals have shifted more toward how I want to feel — lean, strong, and full of energy. I’ve been really into the biohacking, longevity, and anti-aging side of things, which is why I invested in a cold plunge, sauna, and infrared red light. I always say I wish I had this mindset back in my bodybuilding days — if I had taken the time to truly understand how to take care of my body and make it perform at its best, I could’ve gone so much farther. You live and you learn though. I’m not saying I’m the fittest person, but I’ve changed my body and habits in a lot of ways. Lately I’ve been focused on improving my sleep, HRV, and overall immune system function. Our bodies are wild — they can adapt and evolve from anything, which is why at this point in my life I’m all about challenging myself mentally and physically. At the end of the day I just want to feel like a Super Saiyan, and I think to become superhuman you’ve got to keep pushing yourself. If anyone else has made changes lately to better their health and life, drop them in the comments — I’d love to hear what’s been working for you.
