Prosthetic audits haven’t been a major focus in recent years, but with the 2024 LCD updates, they’re expected to increase. Now is the time to be proactive.

Make sure every code on your prosthetic claims is fully justified and clearly tied to the patient’s clinical need. Ultra-light components, alignable systems, custom covers, and all other add‑on codes must include appropriate, patient‑specific documentation to improve the chances of a favorable appeal.

Strong justification today helps protect your patients—and your practice—tomorrow.

🚨Good news for providers and patients: telehealth waivers have been extended.

With H.R. 7148 now signed into law, key Medicare telehealth flexibilities will remain in place through December 31, 2027, supporting continued access to virtual care.

Despite the portal and payer tools at our disposal for gathering critical intake information, one "tool" that will always be necessary is communication.

Communication with the patient and the physician are all necessary to obtain vital information that may not be available via a portal or website.
