Today, four incredible organizations each received $25,000 in unrestricted support:
• Latoya Holman accepting on behalf of The Public Education Foundation
• Fawn Douglas (Paiute Tribe) with IndigenousAF
• Stephanie Helms with Kline Veterans Fund
• Ali Caliendo with Foster Kinship

Superintendent Dr. Jhone Ebert accepted a transformative $500,000 award for CCSD’s Read With Me program to support childhood literacy across our community.

This is what it looks like to invest in people, equity, and opportunity.

We had an incredible time with GGC Grant Contender, the , learning more about their powerful mission to disrupt the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children, two generations at a time.

By supporting moms as they pursue their personal and professional goals while investing in their children’s education, they’re helping families rewrite their futures and become catalysts for change in their communities. Truly inspiring work and impact.

The Grant Screening process! Our teams are so thorough!

Grateful for a thoughtful and energizing team discussion as we reviewed the nonprofit organizations assigned to us that applied for a $500,000 grant from Nevada Women’s Philanthropy 💙💵

We dug deep 🔍 — examining financials 📊, learning about boards of directors and staff leadership 👥, reviewing past practices, future goals 🎯, and even how each organization shows up and tells its story on social media 📱.

It was a lively and respectful conversation, grounded in a shared commitment to impact and accountability.

As part of this process, we’ll be requesting additional information from the nonprofits 📝 before moving forward with any decisions. Teams across Nevada Women’s Philanthropy are engaged in the same rigorous review 🤝, and we’ll all meet together again for the next phase as we work to determine the final candidates ⭐.

What stands out is how rewarding this experience is for each of us, learning about the incredible Southern Nevada charities doing meaningful work every day to support and uplift our community. ❤ The care, collaboration, and intentionality behind this process is truly inspiring.
