The American Lung Association in Nevada is calling on all Southern Nevada fire departments to rise to the challenge and join the fight against lung disease at Scale The STRAT, our signature Fight for Air Climb event, taking place Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Please join us in thanking Clark County for stepping up to the challenge. And history has shown, that Clark County brings their Explorers. This year we’ve introduced a special challenge for members of each department’s EXPLORER PROGRAM! The Explorer that reaches the top in the fastest time will be honored during the awards ceremony- earning well deserved recognition for their dedication and determination. As we’ve done in prior years, we will also be recognizing the fastest fire fighter!

Have you heard? We're doing a practice climb THIS Saturday, January 31 at Cashman Stadium!
It's a free event designed to help you test your stair climbing abilities ahead of the big event on Sunday, February 22!

Please check your registration email as all details were sent to all registered climbers. Want to bring a guest on Saturday? We'll sign them up and offer a discount off the regular registration donation as long as they sign up at Cashman Stadium.

Last year, STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower general manager Skylar Dice climbed the 1,455 steps to the top of the STRAT and liked it so much he doing it again this year! Join Skylar and hundreds of others supporting those with lung disease by registering at scalethestrat.org.

Big thanks to Las Vegas NOW and Jillian Lopez who kicked off her heels to put on firefighter turnout gear in support of Scale The STRAT. You still have time to register yourself or your team to begin your Scale The STRAT journey. The is a fundraiser for the American Lung Association in Nevada which provides resources and support to those affected by lung disease and also funds research for a cure. let's hear it for the first responders who will also take part.
