I’d do it again and again and again ❤️♾️🧠

Our son’s diagnosis was presented with a list of “never dos” and I’m SO happy that amidst the heart ache and shock that I went with my gut. Does it mean he’s not autistic? Absolutely not. It means I decided to see the able and not the label. His brain is brilliant, it just works differently than most people and that’s OKAY. 🥰

Las Vegas ❤️

4 years ago, we were so nervous to head out to Vegas. We truly didn’t know what to expect. Little did we know that over the next 4 years…

• We’d have our first child ❤️ and expect our second ❤️
• We’d be able to make memories here with my mama for a few months ❤️‍🩹
• We’d meet some incredible people whom we know will be in our lives for years and years to come 🫶🏼
• I’d start my previvor journey - in which I’d have a prophylactic mastectomy that would decrease my chances of getting breast cancer by over 80% 💗👊🏼🎗️
• I’d start my coaching career & have the honor of coaching amazing young ladies 🤍
• I’d be the head coach of a 5A state championship team 🏆
• Chad would grow in his profession and have some amazing experiences 😎
• We’d have several staycations and enjoy the perks of living so close to the strip
• We’d explore so much by going on several hikes with gorgeous views ⛰️
• I’d be able to live in the same state as my BFFL again 🤍

And sooo much more 🥰

Vegas blessed us with experiences, friendships, and a community that we never knew we needed and yet we can’t imagine our lives without now. Saying “see you later” has been so difficult, but we are so thankful for the support and the love we’ve received and are excited for what God has in store for us at our new home. 🥰

Thank you to everyone in Vegas that made our time there so special. We will be back to visit soon 🫶🏼

I blinked…and now I have a THREE year old 🥲😭❤️🫶🏼

From the moment you entered our lives you’ve brought us nothing but love, light, and happiness. ❤️ I am thankful every single day that God blessed me to be your mama.

Your smile makes my day, your laugh makes me smile, hearing you say mama makes my heart melt, and watching you grow into such an independent, smart, and loving young boy makes me beam with pride.

You are your dada and I’s biggest reason why and after all we witnessed you do in year 3 we’re even more excited to see what you do in year 4 🥰

I love my scars. ⠀
They tell a story. ⠀
They humble me. ⠀
They are a sign of strength. ⠀
& they remind me of when life tried to break me…but failed. ⠀

It has been 8 months since my prophylactic mastectomy and I’m so thankful to stand here healed and happy. I didn’t know what to expect going into this journey, all I knew was it was going to be HARD….but I am so proud of how I’ve grown since then and the fact that I’ve controlled what I can by choosing an attitude of gratitude. ⠀

I lost what most consider a huge part of my femininity on October 6th, but truth be told I gained much more that day. Since then I feel much more confident in my skin, have much more of an appreciation for what my body does for me, and overall just have a better sense of who I am. No body part will define me; nor will the perceptions of others. ⠀
⠀
⠀
I am a previvor. I chose preventative measures so my son (and future children) will never have to hear “your mom has terminal breast cancer”. I chose ME. And I’d do it all over again in a heart beat. 💗⠀
