Therapeutic Bodywork

Therapeutic Bodywork Massage Therapy for pain relief, relaxation, injury recovery, improved performance, and overall wellness. Call or email for availability.

Therapeutic Bodywork was established with the vision of enhancing the health and wellness of our greater Las Vegas community through assessment based therapeutic massage. Our mission is to empower people to feel and perform their best through touch, movement and body awareness. We accomplish this by taking time with each of our customers to understand their wellness goals and state of health, and then develop a massage therapy plan that will support reaching those goals. Using postural assessment and muscle testing we define musculoskeletal imbalances that underlie many common pain cycles. Our therapists then apply a blend of massage techniques, such as: myofascial release, trigger point therapy, structural integration, craniosacral therapy and fascial stretch therapy to get you aligned, moving and feeling better.

Massage has been used to treat sore, injured muscles for more than 3,000 years, and today many athletes swear by massage guns to rehabilitate their bodies. But other than making people feel good, do these "mechanotherapies" actually improve healing after severe injury? According to a new study from....

COVID-19 News and Updates - as of 5/21
March 18-Unknown: Closed with the exception of prescribed massage- see below.

Great news, we have been granted permission to start seeing clients again so long as they have a prescription from the following provider types: licensed physician, an advanced practicing registered nurse, a physician assistant, a dentist, an optometrist, a podiatric physician, or a doctor of oriental medicine.

Here are the options for obtaining a prescription:

-I have arranged for my clients to work with Dr. Rachel Kohl OMD who is willing to asses and write prescriptions for massage. Dr.Kohl is the medical director of Integrative Acupuncture of Southern Nevada (that's where I am located!).

-You can request a prescription from an eligible provider of your choice.

If you would like a referral to Dr.Kohl please call the main office at 702-763-1168 to set up an evaluation for $40 - be sure to mention it is for a massage prescription with Ryan.

If you would like to go to your own doctor, please use the prescription-referral form here: www.therabodywork.com/forms

Updated Office Visit Protocols

With reopening come a few changes to the usual appointment experience. We are doing our best to maintain social distancing while in the work environment, here is a summary of the changes we have made to comply with the requirements for safe operation:-

-All clients to remain in their car until they are invited in for their appointment.

-Clients are asked to bring the minimum amount of personal property into the establishment.

-Whenever possible, forms will be provided before the appointment for completion at home.

-Seeing fewer clients to allow for social distancing in our wait room

-We ask all clients to please wear your face mask when entering and exiting the office to protect our staff and other patients.

-Masks must be worn except when face-down on the treatment table.

-Require a card on file to make payments automatic upon check out, or use touchless payment option.

-No longer enforcing a 24 hr cancellation policy. If you don't feel well, please don't come in. Just give us a call to let us know.

-New client consultations are being performed through our telemedicine platform or by phone rather than in-person to limit face-to-face contact.

-Extensive disinfecting between each client.

-Updated informed consent required to receive treatment.

-Reduced office days to Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Added Outcall/In-home service option on Wednesday and Thursday.

-Pre-Appointment Health Screening Questions:

If you answer yes to any of the following questions, we will need to reschedule your appointment for an appropriate time.

-Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?

-Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath?

-Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms?

I wanted to post an update to let everyone know how we are responding to the COVID-19 outbreak and what our policy will be going forward if you are feeling sick but not sure of COVID-19 exposure.
Firstly, we are taking extra precautions in our office to sanitize all contact surfaces after each client, in addition to our regular practice of hand washing and use of fresh linens. If you have any TWO (2) of the following symptoms please let us know ahead of time so we can reschedule your appointment to a time when your symptoms have gone away: fever, chills, malaise, cough, runny nose or congestion. We want to make sure that everyone is safe from unnecessary exposure during this time.

Thank you,
Ryan
