Dance Fitness with Stacey I want to share the people, events, activities, products, services and experiences that I believe in.

I'm Stacey Archer-Little,an FA for an amazing airline that keeps me busy, professional dancer/choreographer for over 30 years, avid fan of working out and eating clean; strong believer in the mind, body and spirit approach to health! I've been a dancer, director, choreographer and instructor all my life and have made a career of creating and implementing dance programs, companies, events, etc. I've seen a lot in all those years and continue to be amazed and inspired by the dance and fitness industries. Knowledge is everything, so I hope to use this page as a means to exchange information and continue to learn and be inspired in the areas of dance, health, fitness and wellness. I believe in dancing, it soothes the soul, releases the spirit and keeps the body young and fit. I have recently taught Zumba and watch dance workouts change lives! Currently a flight attendant for a major airline, I find it so rewarding to share my passion for clean eating, daily active lifestyle and finding your source of peace and calm. I believe that the body can benefit from essential and natural healing if given the chance. I experienced firsthand the benefits of essential oils with my family and myself and incorporate essential oils in all aspects of everyday living. I believe every day can be the start of something new… maybe it’s an old dream with new motivation. Maybe it’s a new dream with new inspiration. Maybe it’s a combination.

Don’t listen to the little voice inside telling you you don’t know enough about it, you’re too old, you can’t, you’re incapable, it’s impossible, who do you think you are…

I have some dreams. Some are older ones that I have yet to go after, some are new, fresh ones that are exciting to imagine!

I’ve decided to tune out the little voice and tune into the possibilities! Because yes, you’ve heard it before, nothing is impossible and timing is everything. Above this? Believing in yourself is paramount.

God places passions within us and ultimately equips us. No matter where you are in life, don’t ignore your dreams. They have no deadlines.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Thoughts lately… as I navigate life, work, fitness, health, wellness… there’s no easy fix. When it comes to my wellness journey, there’s so much information, pressure, fear, overwhelm, or plain disconnect. In my “mature” age, here’s what I’ve come to know. Don’t give up. Keep learning, evolving, trying! You’ll learn to discern and vet what applies to you and what’s accurate. But don’t give up. Your overall health is your number one priority.

Our body, mind, soul are invaluable, sacred. Their wellbeing is the key to our longevity and happiness. Think about it! Without our health, everything means nothing because we can’t truly enjoy it. Life is unnecessarily more challenging, robbing us of the joy we should be feeling!

At the same time, we need to appreciate our bodies… how they’ve carried us through these years of life so well. Don’t be too hard on yourself. That pressure causes the stress that negatively affects your health. Take stock in where you are and move forward. You deserve it.

Each of us have our own unique challenges. What fires me up is I get to wake up every morning! And know that it’s a brand new day of opportunity! To change, improve, live with intention and ultimately feel joy. Every single day! Now that’s something to wake up to…

So seize your day, every day. Know what your “why” is. And if you feel you failed on a given day? There’s a new one coming up.

Just finished an early AM DFW turn, it’s been 12 hours since I started this day and I’m tired. But! My community has a fitness center just a 2 min drive away so that means NO EXCUSES, JUST DO IT! So I am… and I know I’ll feel amazing afterward. Going into a workout a little tired isn’t bad because the workout will likely get you going!

Think that a dance cardio class wont make that much of a difference? Think again!

It adds thousands of steps to your daily goal, burns calories while having fun, and amps up your BPM, working wonders on your stamina and VO2 max threshold. There’s inherent body weight resistance and tons of isolated movement work which are fine tuning those muscles.

Not only that, cardio workouts (especially dance) fire up those feel good hormones (dopamine, serotonin, endorphins and oxytocin) which can keep you in a positive mindset for hours!

Yes, a good combo of the cardio workout of your choice, along with consistent muscle-centric workouts (and let’s throw in those refreshing daily walks!) will easily set you on you’re way to a healthier, happier you!

It’s been a while since I’ve contributed to this fitness page, but my focus on fitness hasn’t wavered. In fact! It’s stronger than ever and I have so much to share since my last post.

To start, I am so proud of my son, Travis Little, who is now NASM certified and killing it as a personal trainer! I’m always learning something new from him, and inspired to keep on keepin’ on with my own health and wellness journey.

I plan on living to a healthy and active 100, how ‘bout you? What motivates you? My family keeps me going, and new love inspires me to be the best version of me I can be. I’ve taken charge of my health and wellness! You have way more control than you think. Take charge, take the reigns and get to it!

Been a minute since I’ve posted. Life got crazy wonderful, the best distraction! But I’ve got to share since I’m a firm believer in the holistic approach to wellness.

Got through some knee issues that slowed me down but didn’t do me in, managed to keep eating clean and working out around the issues til they resolve and we’re getting close! In the meantime, determined to keep up the workouts and clean eating while back at work. Lucked out with a delayed flight today that freed up my morning to take my favorite Friday Zumba class! Life feels so much better when all is aligned… get to your happy healthy place! Make it a priority, you’re better for everyone else when you’re taking care of yourself. 💜

Has this happened to anyone else? My muscles have officially gone MIA. I know they’ve been neglected these past few months (recovering from an injury) but seriously?! They just left and didn’t even say goodbye. Well I’ll show them, I’m just gonna replace ‘em! Putting my mind to it now that I’m on the mend, and gonna work this body hard til the new ones show up! 😂

Pay no attention to the ugly workout face, just wanted to share my revelation today at the gym.

I believe things happen for a reason. I pulled something in my good leg about a month and a half ago in a dance cardio class. Feels like sciatica or IT band syndrome now but in any event it has been an uphill battle not only healing, but getting any kind of decent lower body workout done, let alone I haven’t danced since. And that has been the most frustrating of all. A month and a half.

Which leads me to the point of this post. My next chapter is going to be personal training and wellness coaching, and I’ve already been working on the certifications. AND I definitely plan to teach dance cardio again. But experiencing this has allowed me to step inside a body that feels what many suffer from: an ongoing injury, a chronic condition, arthritis, you name it! Anything that is beyond your control and hinders you, even causes you pain.

I am working through it, finding my way back. I’m not giving up until I’ve got all my muscle back and then some, and I can move freely without pain again. And I’ll dance again! And I will use this experience to better prepare for, empathize with and motivate those I’ll be working with in the future who are dealing with something like this. I’ve got the will so there IS a way. Gonna get to it!

Our Story

I have always had a passion for health, working out, nutrition and learning more and more about it! And there is so much to learn... and so much to share. I am currently a flight attendant for a major airline and absolutely love it! Yet I also experience the challenges of this career. Sleep deprivation, unhealthy eating, non-existent workouts, battling the ever changing climates and time zones, sore feet and muscles, moisture-deprived skin-hair-nails, etc.... all of these can sabotage your health and wellness. But that’s IF you let them. The more educated, prepared and focused on healthy choices you are, the more likely you are to maintain, if not improve, your health and and level of fitness. This means less illness, injuries and inabilities and more wellness, strength and ability to do the things you want to do! Before becoming a flight attendant I was a dancer, director, choreographer and instructor most of my life and made a career of creating and implementing dance programs, companies, events, etc. All the while I was consciously and subconsciously incorporating nutrition, strength training, emotional wellness and a sense of responsibility to our minds and bodies to take care of them. I’ve seen lives changed in all those years and I continue to be amazed and inspired by the dance and fitness industries. Knowledge is everything, so I hope to use this page as a means to exchange information and continue to learn and be inspired in the areas of dance, health, fitness and wellness. Dancing is in my DNA and still use dance cardio as my number one source of a hard core cardio workout. It burns calories at a high level, isolates muscles, connects the mind to the body, soothes the soul and releases the spirit while keeping the body young, flexible and fit. Most recently I was a certified Zumba instructor for four years and watch dance workouts change lives! I also believe that the body can benefit from essential and natural healing if given the chance. I experienced firsthand the benefits of essential oils with my family and myself and make a habit of using Young Living and doTerra essential oils... for everything.

Most of all, I believe overall, health is not something to flow in and out of. It needs to be a way of life. Choose health, live health, share health. You have one body and one life. Take control, make the most of it and appreciate it by taking excellent care of yourself!
