Let me count the ways I love goji berries…

They are sweet and chewy.
They are PACKED with antioxidants.
And, their health benefits are abundant.

That’s why adding goji’s to a smoothie is the best idea ever!

Antioxidants are very important because they fight all the free radicals and toxins you can accumulate in your body that cause aging and disease. Goji berries are great for eyesight, skin, and fertility too!

Paired with organic strawberries, raw almond butter, and bananas, they make a delicious antioxidant-rich smoothie that will give you tons of energy.

Instead of buying boxed rice mixes like Rice-a-Roni filled with corn syrup and flavors concocted in a lab, try this instead!

My Cilantro Rice is zesty, really FRESH, and compliments almost any meal! It also happens to be one of the simplest recipes in the world. It’s just as easy as those mixes, but without the nasty additives – and it tastes a million times better too. Even if you are a beginner cook, this is a meal or side dish that will impress your friends and family with very little effort!

I like to use brown basmati rice to make this dish, but you can also use quinoa if you prefer. Brown basmati rice hasn’t been stripped of its bran and germ (like white rice) where most of the nutrients are, and it still has a light and fluffy texture. Brown rice is one of the richest sources of manganese, a trace mineral that fights free radicals in the body. Basmati rice also has a lower glycemic index than white rice and won’t send your blood sugar surging!

When I was growing up, we always had a jar of Peter Pan Peanut Butter in the house. To me, that sweet heavily-processed spread was the only real peanut butter there was – and I really didn’t realize until well into my 20’s that there are MUCH healthier options out there.

Today, the nut butter section is one of the most confusing sections in the grocery store. You’ve got creamy, crunchy, no-stir, stir, reduced fat, sweetened, unsweetened, palm oil, no palm oil, raw, roasted, natural, and organic. It’s no wonder that one of the most popular questions I get is what brand of nut butter I use!

One of my favorite indulgences is almond butter. I eat it almost every day… I’ll put a scoop in my morning oats, in my smoothies, and spread it on celery.

I usually use Artisana raw organic almond butter. It also comes in nice little packets for when you’re away from home! I listed more good brands to try on the right.

Are you in a salad rut? Here’s how to shake things up!

🥗 Mix in a variety of textures and flavors, like crunchy, sweet, creamy, juicy, chewy, and sour ingredients into your salads.

🥗For example, add pears (juicy), carrots (sweet, crunchy), avocados (creamy), seeds (crunchy) to your salads.

🥗Other times add red onions (spicy), goat cheese (creamy), and dried cranberries (sweet).

Save this pic to your phone so you can refer to it for inspiration and don't be afraid to mix it up each day. Tag your friends who would love this too!

Tag a friend who loves Cheetos! I ate my fair share of them growing up and remember licking my cheesy orange Cheeto fingers. Little did I know then what was really turning my fingers orange…

Yellow 6 is a controversial artificial color made from petroleum. It’s cheap for food companies to use, but may be putting our health at risk. This dye is linked to hyperactivity in children, disrupting the immune system, and may be contaminated with carcinogens.

They make Cheetos in some other countries without any artificial colors. They use Paprika Extract instead!
Why do Americans need fluorescent orange Cheetos made with risky yellow dye when there are safer alternatives?

Why does Pepsico think it’s okay to continue using Yellow 6 in America, while they make Cheetos with natural colors in some other countries?

These are important questions that everyone should be asking.

You may already know this information, but most people don’t. We need to keep sharing and spreading the word!

Please share this to your story and tag your friends below.

The ingredients in those little packets of Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning are atrocious…

❌ MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE (MSG): A flavor-enhancer and excitotoxin that excites brain cells to death, increases food cravings, and makes you eat more than you should.

❌ ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS: Chemical mixtures produced by fractional distillation and chemical manipulation of various chemicals. Artificial flavors are much cheaper than using real food and make fake food taste irresistible.

❌ NATURAL FLAVORS: Proprietary mixtures that make food taste irresistible so that you keep coming back for more.

❌ CARBOXYMETHYLCELLULOSE: This thickener is usually made from wood because it’s cheap. Research links consumption of this additive (not naturally occurring when found in whole food) to weight gain, inflammation and digestive problems.

To make a batch of ranch seasoning at home, you need 8 basic ingredients. You probably have most of these in your spice rack already.
