Since 1977, Encore has been helping older New Yorkers who are homebound, providing nutritious meals and meaningful connection. New data shows the scale and impact of PPL’s extensive language access support throughout the historic transition of New York’s Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP).

Highlights include:
✅Inbound callers were assisted more than 835,000 times in their preferred language
✅32% of calls in July came from Spanish-speaking New Yorkers
✅PPL maintains eight dedicated NY language lines, with 100-plus additional languages supported through a third-party vendor and expert staff providing bilingual support
✅Our expansive network of facilitator partners maintains strong connections across cultural/linguistic lines in New York

Public Partnerships | PPL helps aging adults and individuals managing chronic illness or a disability in their choice to remain in their homes and communities and self-direct their own long-term care.

As a Financial Management Service (FMS) provider, we support eligible Medicaid recipients in their role as employers to hire and pay for their chosen care/support workers and services within their personalized, state-approved budget.
