Happy Veterans Day! Today we honor and thank all who have served, especially the veterans among our staff and providers, for their courage, dedication and sacrifice.

As a small token of appreciation, we are offering a free lunch to all veterans who present military ID today in the cafeteria. Thank you for your service and all you have given to our country.

If you are looking for a way to begin being proactive in your approach to your health, establishing care with a family medicine physician is a great place to start.

"I think family medicine has really transitioned to a lot of preventative care, so we really try to keep our patients out of the hospital," Dr. Ramsi D***s Blankenship said. "We try to keep you healthy with a healthy lifestyle and routine monitoring through your annual wellness visits."

"For the children of this community, I will be providing a full comprehensive evaluation in the realm of psychiatry," Dr. Zamar said. "I believe that intervening as early as we can really helps with preventative mental health care for children and adolescents, and having child psychiatry in this area will really help these children and adolescents thrive in the long term."

South Central Regional Medical Center is committed to ensuring that we provide the highest level of service to our community. Our commitment expands beyond the quality of care we provide; it also includes ensuring that we maintain a reasonable level of technology that keeps pace with the healthcare industry.

To help maintain that commitment, South Central has partnered with a trusted vendor to send patient statements as well as payment reminders by text and phone. These messages are legitimate, secure and will always come from the same phone number listed in texts you receive. They also allow patients to opt out if they choose. South Central has implemented this process to assist patients by providing an easy link to view statements, manage balances and make payments through a secure patient portal. If you choose to opt out of these communications, you will continue to receive mailed statements.

We understand that these messages may bring additional questions so if you should have any further questions regarding this new service, please ask a Patient Representative when you visit any South Central affiliated service or contact our Business Office at 601-366-6104 or Clinic Support Office at 601-425-7550. Thank you for allowing us to serve your healthcare needs and to continue to provide technology that helps you manage that care.
