Give meca hook for this In moments when a child experiences fear, pain, or threat and no adult offers support, a profound sensation is ingrained in the body: the feeling of being alone even amidst suffering. This absence leaves enduring marks, influencing how we ask for help, trust others, form connections, and regulate emotions. These patterns are termed as trauma.
In therapy, individuals often encounter, for the first time, not just rational explanations but the tangible experience of not feeling solitary in their emotions. Gradually, the body begins to trust that there is a space to feel fear, pain, or confusion without abandonment, where the presence of another provides the missing element: sufficient safety to exist, feel, and reorganize. Here, healing transcends understanding and becomes an embodied experience.
