Hello,
I wanted to reach out and thank everyone for allowing me to be a tiny part of your lives for the last 20 years. I've seen you all on your journey's from graduating college, to getting married, to having babies and grand babies. I've also been blessed to meet your friends, families and coworkers through your referrals. I've always said that I have the best job in the world because I see your stressed faces arrive, and I get to help make you feel better.
I'm sad to announce that I'm retiring this year to be able to spend more time with my husband and grandkids. If you have any unused gift certificates, please schedule to get those used up. Please note that I will have limited availability so I won't be taking on any new clients.

I firmly believe that plant/herbal therapy can be an excellent tool to help promote good health and healing. One of the many benefits is to improve inflammation in our bodies that cause so many other problems. I've grown a lot of different herbs to help with that, but I also started taking CBD oil every day. From being a massage therapist my hands and wrists get sore and irritated due to repetitive stress issues. As long as I take the oil on a regular basis, it helps a LOT. I've talked to many people who have taken it for other issues, and I've heard excellent feedback from them.
I've sold Biofreeze over the years as a customer service for my clients, but it does not actually fix the cause of the pain problem. It's a topical product that can help with pain for a short period of time, but CBD oil works systemically. This is what I've been taking, so I thought I'd share.
Oh ya, due to CBD oil being newly legal on a state level, the dust hasn't settled with the banks so online credit card orders are not possible yet. If anyone would like any additional information let me knowThere are several places around town that sell it, but I can pick it up for you also. Just message me for more info. No, this will not make you buzzy since that would be from theTHC in the plant, and these products all contain zero THC.

I'll be offering free chair massage at the Phoenix Gallery from 6:00-8:30 PM for Final Friday so come see me!

We have another wonderful Final Friday lined up. Join us on March 30 from 5-9 pm for an all bee inspired spring Final Friday. Laura Ramberg will be our demonstrating artist with her nature and bee inspired art. Food will be catered by Sugar Pie, Honey Buns and it will all be made with honey, including honey bee cookies. Karen Pitts of Simply Bee Massage will be offering free chair massages. Richard Bean will be here with his local honey and honey products, and Wes Samms will be providing music.

Laura Ramberg has been a practicing artist working in the Lawrence area for over thirty years. Laura’s art emerges organically from the rhythms of a life grounded deeply in nature. She often draws inspiration for her creations from her dreams as well as the dreams of others. She works primarily with organic materials such as stone, wood, clay, and bronze.

She considers the larger purpose of her art to be serving and creating community. To that end, Laura has had work commissioned by a number of schools, churches, businesses, and private homes. Her major local projects include the restoration of the Douglas County courthouse, the crucifix of St. John’s church, and the restoration of the State Capitol building in Topeka.

She holds a B.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of Kansas. In 2007 she was awarded the Imagination & Place Environmental Award. In addition to being a full-time practicing artist, Laura has taught art at the Douglas County Youth Services for over twelve years. She is also a beekeeper, gardener, naturalist, mother, yoga instructor, and dancer.
