The word I heard from the Holy Spirit for today was: expectancy, like a holy curiosity. I looked for it. My surprise? This week is America Reads the Bible. Over 500 Americans all across the country are participating in a public reading of the entire Bible - from Genesis to Revelation - to celebrate 250 years of the Bible in our nation! One of the most fun ways to develop your relationship with the Holy Spirit is to ask the Lord either what the theme is for the day you are about to live, or the key word on the Spirit's heart for your next day. Listen! When you hear it, look for it throughout the day. Be on the hunt for the Lord's romances. Feel free to share your discoveries.

I chatted with my friend today who updated me on her geese, dogs, cat, all the ranch critters, and sweet memories of her dad. I'm a city comfort girl. Regardless, joy arose because of mutual respect, honor, and genuine affection. God loves farmhands and city dwellers and delights in conversations with us. Be sure to share your heart and then - wait for it -the Presence of God's love for you and His delight in you arrives!
