I’ve been a bit busy here at Insight Birthing! This is my 100th birth! She’s also my baby! I will be spending the first little bit of 2023 with her and my family but will be back to births in Summer 2023. Happy holidays everyone!

A loved baby boy born at 11:57 pm on 2/22/22. Mom went into spontaneous labor, 2 hours before her scheduled induction, and he was born while the song containing his name was happening to play. All in all, what a magical way to start our 2022 birth lineup.

I don’t usually get to hold doula babies but when I do, it’s the actual best.

I always like to say hello to the moon on my way to or from a birth. She and I spend lots of time together in this doula life.

Last week, an amazing first time family had a beautiful home water birth. They were my students, then my , and their beautiful birth was such a joy.
We even had time to snag a quick selfie in the hallway. Congratulations to this new family of three!!

Just finished an amazing unmedicated induction at Ogden Regional Medical Center. My clients advocated for themselves and made great decisions every step of the way. The thing I like best to hear is “Now I feel like I really understand why people hire doulas !”

Our Story

Insight Birthing has one goal: an empowered and educated birth for you and your baby. This is going to look different for each family, but the end goal is the same. Families thrive when they feel listened to, supported, and like they’re a player in their birth. Imagine a world where babies were born, and families created, with trust and confidence in the birthing woman’s body and her ability to birth her baby, only intervening when medically necessary. This is my goal and dream for the future. I would love to be a small part of your upcoming birth. We provide HypnoBirthing education in small groups or private sessions, in addition to birth-coaching and doula services. Classes are held in Davis County, Utah and Salt Lake City, Utah.
