City Girl in a Country World – Episode 103

It’s been a WEEK of learning all kinds of new Southern-isms 😂😂

Shortly after I posted about accidentally misgendering one of the goats, I received this text from a client… who really wanted a boy. I thought we had all girls.

Apparently, she and the young man who helps me on the farm had a whole conversation, and she asked him to magically summon up a boy for her.

Which led to a question I absolutely did not understand:
“Did you blow in its mouth?”

😳😳😳

Y’all.
I was SO confused.

Turns out it was a joke. (Allegedly.)
Something about “making the balls come out.”

City girl takeaway:
You country people are WEIRD.
And I am clearly still learning. 🤦‍♀️🤣

Episode 100 of: A City Girl Living in a Country World

Lord help me 😩

So.
I bought the pig ears from my ½ pig order.

In my head?
Those nice, dried, scraped, pet-store pig ears.
You know. Crunchy. Sanitized. Emotionally distant.

So I defrost them, planning to give the dogs a special treat.

Ummm you know that is not what I had.

Fast-forward a full week of me absolutely not being able to bring myself to give these ears to the dogs. Enter: my city friend visiting the farm.

I’m already in bed when I get the following text from my friend in the kitchen… (completely traumatized)

I had completely forgotten they were in there. 😂😂😂

This morning I finally threw them to the boys and they are currently destroying them with zero emotional damage.

Me?
I am unwell. 😞😳😂
