Picked up a new preworkout. Wreckage. Got it for $12.50 🤯 that's why you shop at the Vitamin Shoppe.

I'll be honest, I'm not a "find the craziest, most comprehensive looking label" when it comes to preworkouts. Just give me caffeine and beta alanine, and I'm good.

This stuff is delicious though!

I've set a goal of simply eating more, but I'm switching 90% of my protein intake to chicken and fish. I love me some red meat, so I'll still have some- just not as much. I want leaner, but an overall increase in calories. I'll need more meals like this!

Just because you have an opinion on a certain food or specific supplement doesn't mean you should inflict that view on everyone.

You not liking caffeine doesn't mean it's a bad choice for everyone. Just because Curcumin didn't "work" good enough for your chronic back pain doesn't mean it doesn't work for other people. You not liking red meat doesn't mean that no one else can eat it for health benefits.

Educate. Don't fear-monger.

If you could magically have a lifetime supply of 3 supplements, what would they be? Be specific. Give me the brand and the product. Formulas (multi-ingredient) products are allowed!

I find it incredibly strange that (probably) 98% of humans couldn't tell you what they're supposed to eat in order to live. And I don't mean the answer is food.

9 Essential Amino Acids
Alpha-Linolenic Acids (Omega-3s)
Linoleic Acids (Omega-6s)
Complex Carbohydrates
13 Vitamins
15 Minerals

I am not trying to be rude, but is it not odd that this isn't common knowledge? I am not saying we all need to be experts or have an advanced knowledge of nutrition, but why is this not basic information that is taught?

So many diseases and health issues begin as nutrient deficiencies. And we aren't taught preventative nutrition. We aren't taught to take care of ourselves. We tend to only care once a problem arises. And worst of all, we start it early with our children. We give them candy as a reward. We create food addictions at an early age. That's the scariest part.

High blood pressure, high cholesterol, high liver enzymes, high anxiety, poor sleep, weight gain, diabetes, heart disease... I could go on. The chance of these can be greatly reduced with good nutrition and lifestyle choices.

We abuse food, re-invent it, create new addictions, and take it for granted. We eat when we're hungry and we eat what sounds good. We generally don't care what we eat as long as it's something we like.

If you find yourself asking, "why do you care so much?" then re-read.

Trying to go bigger with my preworkout meal! I've been pretty stagnant for awhile so I'm going to up my daily calories and see if we can add 5lbs of lean body mass.

12oz Honey Chicken, 1 cup Purple Rice, 1 Banana, 1/4 cup Blueberries, handful of Walnuts, 1Tbsp Honey, 1Tbsp Olive Oil

The best supplement formulas combine effectiveness, synergism, transparency, and SIMPLICITY.

You can obviously buy whatever you want. People like all kinds of brands and formulations. This is simply my opinion and advice regarding how to best approach choosing the best supplements for you.

It's amazing how many people I talk to that skip breakfast. It seems to be step 1 of everyone's weight loss program, and I've never understood why. No matter your goal, you have to fuel yourself. The body does not grow or burn without the proper nutrients. You fast for 8-12hrs, so the first thing you need to do is hydrate and fuel.

And the beauty of breakfast is that you can be a little "dirty." The brain wants fat, and the body wants protein and carbs. Go for all 3!
