I hear people ask all the time "how do I boost my metabolism" or "what can I take to boost my metabolism?"

The only correct answer is: MUSCLE

I pick on women a lot and I'm going to again. 90% of the time they are the ones asking this question. Women naturally have less muscle and more fat than men, but this doesn't mean they can't work around that. And the same goes for men.

Regular, resistance exercise is the first and main solution. If you aren't doing this then you can forget it. If you think you can do this without working out, forget it. You have to get the mindset that resistance exercise is one of, if not the, single best thing you can do for your body.

Don't have time? YES YOU DO.
Don't like it? THEN STOP ASKING ME FOR HELP.
Don't want to get bulky? YOU WON'T.
Don't know how to workout? FIND A TRAINER.
Too old to workout? NO YOU'RE NOT.
You have an injury? WHAT A GREAT EXCUSE. BUT YOU HAVE OTHER MUSCLES.

Go workout. Eat whole foods. Take the right supplements. Sleep well. Stress less.

You don't need a 7 day detox!

Detoxing is a natural process that the body does pretty well on its own, when given the right nutrients. Just because you have a tummy ache after having pizza doesn't mean you have a parasite. It means your diet sucks.

Detoxes are a waste of money in the supplement space. You don't need a detox. You need a lifestyle change.

Sweeteners (sucralose, ace-k, aspartame, stevia, monk fruit, allulose, etc) DO NOT raise blood sugar. I'm not sure who is spreading the information that it does, but it needs to stop. Even if it did the doses used are less than a half a gram per serving. And 1 gram of actual sugar only has 4 calories.

Here's another example: 1 regular soda has nearly 100x in grams of sugar compared to how much of a sweetener is used in a diet soda. That's because sweeteners are 100-400x as sweet compared to sugar.

Sweeteners are bad for you? Where's the studies? They are proven to be safe and the doses needed to cause ANY issue is nearly 100x that of a normal sweetener dose. "They are addictive." Oh boo hoo. Then get control of your cravings. "They disrupt the gut microbiome." And sugar doesn't? A poor diet doesn't?

Look bigger picture. Sweeteners are 0.01% of your diet. Or at least they should be. The poison is in the dose. If you eat like s**t 90% of the time and consume sweeteners, it's the diet that's the poison and the problem. If you eat a 90% healthy diet and consume sweeteners, nothing will change. It's that simple.

So tell me what will raise blood sugar more, cause more inflammation, gut disruption, metabolic issues, energy imbalances, brain fog, weight gain, etc... 60g or sugar or 200mg of a sweetener?

I'm waiting for the anti-sweetener crew to step in. Because it's almost 2026 and I'm more tired of it than ever.

Osteoporosis doesn't mean you need to go buy $10 calcium from Walmart. It means you need to engage in regular resistance exercise, eat a healthy, whole food rich diet, stop smoking, stop drinking alcohol, and possibly take Vitamin D.

This might upset some people but if you have to scan barcodes of food products or supplements to check if a random health app on your phone approves of it, you're clueless on nutrition. When you learn nutrition you don't need to scan barcodes. When you learn nutrition you also realize these apps don't know anything either.

It's crazy how people will ask for 3rd party testing, manufacturer location and phone number, country of origin of ingredients, Google a brand 50x to make sure it's "good," and complain about "fillers" just to buy a magnesium supplement, then go eat 4500 calories on Thanksgiving no questions asked. Nutrition in the US is weird.

"What's the best protein powder?" - Everyone

Hard fact to accept: protein is protein.

In supplements, the difference between whey isolate, whey concentrate, milk protein, casein, vegan, beef isolate, etc, is very little. Consumers, and brands, love to say "this brand makes the best protein," "this brand has the highest quality protein," "this protein is the best tasting, mixes the best," blah blah. It just doesn't matter. Just eat protein. Or drink it. Worrying about what protein to get is a waste of time. People who actually hit their daily protein goals and succeed in the world of health and fitness don't overthink protein powder.

Most brands make protein through a contract manufacturer, which means they use the same protein as many other brands. No one is doing something different or revolutionary. Technically, the highest quality protein on earth is whey protein isolate, but that doesn't mean it's x times more beneficial or noticeable compared to other proteins. Just consume it!

On another topic, sport supplement brands should be judged on how well they formulate and combine synergistic ingredients to create a desired effect. It isn't hard to make a good protein powder. It isn't hard to flavor it either. When deciding what brand to try, for anything, look at how they formulate. That's how you know if they know what they're doing.

Don't know how to judge a formula? That's why I created this page and that's why I'm making my brand. To educate and market properly. What will I not be making? A protein powder.
