KC.yogaguy

KC.yogaguy Yoga Practitioner and Energy Healer Kyle started practicing yoga in 2015. Since beginning his practice he has been able to reverse age on the journey within.

Today he is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others. In August 2022 he completed his 200hr YTT in Guatemala. His teaching style is rooted in hatha and yin with a breath centric approach to healing the mind, body and soul. He firmly believes the healing journey starts from within ourselves.

Back in 2022 I embarked on a journey to deepen my understanding of yoga and breathwork. My pathway into teaching was not intentional. In fact I was against the idea of becoming an instructor. When I completed my 200 hour YTT I wasn’t planning on becoming a teacher, the practice felt too personal to ever teach it. I just wanted to help myself find tools to help me calm an overactive nervous system.

From early on in my childhood I suffered and would be rendered useless by my own nervous system doctors wanted to label my symptoms and throw meds at me none of which did much of anything except take me farther away from myself. (I’m afraid this is a trap far too many people have fallen into)

I found learning to breathe, and move was the only real pathway “home” deepening this practice over the past decade has allowed me to transform not only my physical body but my mental and emotional as well. (Spoiler it’s all connected)

If you’re living in a system, cycle, loop, whatever you want to call it and it’s not working for you. Consider the simple act of coming Home to your breath, your body.

If you need direction on how to accomplish this comment “Home” for a special offer from yours truly. 🙏🏼

Stealing an hour with the boys for some breakfast after my first Business pitch this morning! Got great feedback from the StartUp rewind group at the club meeting. Roads are terrible but so grateful for those who came to listen and share feedback, insights, and support. 🙏🏼

Allow me to reintroduce myself…..

My name is Kyle Steppe I am a Yoga and Breathwork Instructor

I embarked on my journey into yoga in 2015, seeking to diversify my workout routine, what I ended up finding was a deeper connection between mind and body. My path led me to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, where I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) at an international yoga school in 2022. There, I had the privilege of learning from diverse teachers from around the globe, each contributing to my rich understanding of yoga’s transformative power.
For the past two years, I’ve been dedicated to teaching and sharing my passion for restorative yoga, where the focus is on cultivating a compassionate connection between breath and body. I specialize in Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Thai, and Partner Yoga, offering classes that emphasize mindfulness, self-awareness, and kindness toward oneself.
My teaching philosophy revolves around the belief that yoga is not just a physical practice but a holistic journey of self-discovery and healing. Through breathwork and gentle movements, I guide my students to explore the inner landscapes of their being, fostering an environment of peace and acceptance.

Join me in my classes to experience the harmony of breath and body and embark on your own journey of self-compassion and inner peace. Message me for info on a free guest pass to one of my classes. 🙏🏼

Into the woods is where I like to play
In here I can frolic all day

Never lost, just wandering
Where the thoughts are pondering

So much to see and explore
Always leaving wanting more

Returning to nature
Returning to home

Where it begins
Where it ends.

Life will always ebb and flow. We have good days and we have bad days. Finding balance in the highs and lows of life is all about finding consistency in what feels right for you.

Taking time to pause and meditate daily whether for 60 seconds or 6 hours can help us tap back into the balance of ourselves.

Be kind to yourself as you navigate down your own path and don’t be afraid to grab the machete and starting cutting away at a new path of the old one is no longer serving you. 🙏🏼

A common theme that I hear when meeting new people and they ask me what I do for a living. I tell them I am a yoga instructor and regularly before I can even finish saying it they start in on the response…. “Ohhh, Yoga I’m not flexible I can’t do that”

🚨News Flash 🚨

You don’t have to be flexible to “DO” yoga. The only requirement to practice yoga is to meet yourself where you are both physically and mentally.

Yoga is NOT about being flexible yoga is a tool we can use to learn about ourselves.

In fact often times we have to first release the mental hold or limitation of our own egos in order to release the tension or limitation in the physical body. It truly is connected.

So when someone tells me they can’t do yoga because they aren’t flexible, what I hear is they are not ready to be vulnerable with themselves. They are not ready to sit with the discomfort, to let go of the stress, the trauma, that we have been wired to hang onto. Yoga is a practice of humility not flexibility.

If you’re interested in embarking on a journey within yourself Yoga is a great place to start to shine the light into spaces mentally, physically, and consequentially….spiritually. 💫

For private lessons on how you can expand within yourself book a session through my profile link. 🙏🏼

Just a reminder that you are amazing just as you are, don’t forget to remind yourself of this everyday. 💚

Mrigasana (deer pose) a restorative posture similar to pigeon pose but for most people a less intense pose as it doesn’t stretch quite as deep in the hips, yet offers a gentle twisting action.

Reasons why I love this pose.
1. It does help open tight hips especially after sitting for long periods of time.
2. With a slight gentle twist it’s great for spinal health and alleviating tension in the back muscles. Twist are also great for helping aid in digestion and detoxifying the body
3. Relieving stress, adding up all the benefits above this pose has a nice calming effect

The pose is easy to modify which makes it great for people with limited mobility.

Focusing on the breath taking awareness into the belly noticing the expansion on the inhale, softening on the exhale releasing tension.

Give this pose a try in your personal practice or come see me tomorrow (Friday) at Noon for Yin Surrender. 🙏🏼 PM for a guest pass! 🙌

🚨New class Alert!🚨

Starting Wednesday evening May 8th I will be teaching a yin surrender class at the Overland Park Lifetime club! Excited to bring a class offering to the OP Club. Surrender is the best way to end the day and set yourself up for a great nights sleep.

If you’re not familiar with yin yoga the best way I can describe it is I’ll put you in funny positions and make you fall asleep. It’s a balance of finding edges in the body releasing fascia tissue restoring harmony from within and letting go.

If you’re interested in trying it out and would like a guest pass let me know! I will be happy to get you on a mat. Class is 7-8pm on Wednesdays!
