A mindful moment...
Sit comfortably, in a chair or on the floor, spine lifted, shoulders relaxed, close your eyes if its comfortable.
Take 3 conscious breaths in... and out...
Notice the sensations of your body, your breath, your mind.
Allow your awareness to rest on the breath.
Feeling the gentle in breath and out breath moving as though gentle waves lapping along a beautiful shoreline.
Inhale... the waves gently pull out to sea.
Exhale... the waves gently kiss the sand.
Continue to watch the breath as though soft ocean waves washing ashore for 10 breaths, or as long as you'd like.
If your mind wanders, don't worry. Gently return to your breath and the imagery as you notice you've drifted away.
When you are ready to finish, softly open your eyes and notice the effect of a mindful moment on the body, breath, and mind.
Then return to your day from a more mindful and centered place.
