The Engine and Tanker provided mutual aid assistance to the Newton Wayne Fire Co. on a brush fire this afternoon. Engine 17 was initially requested to set up a fill site and throughout its operational period, it refilled 8 tankers.
A short time after the Engine’s dispatch, the Tanker was called to provide additional water. The Tanker supplied 2.5 loads (5,000 gallons ) to the suppression efforts.

Today they completed the “live burn” element of the required training necessary to achieve the rank of “Interior firefighter”.

This marks the completion of nearly 180 hours of training in order to VOLUNTEER to serve their community. 

If you see thes guys out and about, offer them a hearty congratulations and let them know you are as proud of them as we are!!
