Lexington Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group

Lexington Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group A place to encourage, support and give hope to patient and caregivers with pulmonary fibrosis.

08/24/2022

In 2019 we started a support group for patients and families with pulmonary fibrosis. A group that met every other month to get together to share some information and provide support for one another. Unfortunately, we did have to stop meeting during the pandemic, but now I am so excited to announce we will be resuming our meetings next month! September is also Pulmonary Fibrosis awareness month in case you did not know.

Please join me on Tuesday September 13th at the Eastside branch of the Lexington Public Library. We will be having some refreshments and some time to get to know one another and explore how this group can help you in your healthcare journey.

It is finally time to get our local support group up and going again after a long hiatus due to COVID-19!! I am so excited to invite everyone out again to share stories and learn from one another.

If you or a loved one has been affected by pulmonary fibrosis, you are invited to attend our support group. Participating in a support group may improve your emotional well-being and have a positive impact on your health by offering you an opportunity to connect with others who are facing similar experiences, obtain practical information, and to receive support.
Support groups can also be a valuable resource for your caregivers, other family members, and friends. Please remember, a support group should not replace treatment from your doctor.
