Dave Carney led a discussion-based tabletop exercise at the Tri-State Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) Summit on 04-Jun-2025. The hypothetical scenario was an outbreak of the highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1. This exercise focused on protection, mitigation, response, and recovery.

Lexington Fire in action during NDMS Exercise

The mission of the Bluegrass Healthcare Coalition (BGHCC) is to promote the development of cooperative partnerships in order to enhance disaster preparedness, response and recovery of the region’s healthcare and emergency response systems. This mission will be accomplished through a preparedness strategy using education, training, public outreach, response, recovery activities and the sharing of assets, information and expertise.
