Meet Beginnings-SC at Parent Connections 2026 on March 28th!

Beginnings SC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting South Carolina families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Dive into their workshops, give them a follow, and meet them in person in a few short weeks! 💙

Beginnings SC is excited to announce our 2026 Parent Workshop Series: four virtual sessions designed to equip families of deaf and hard-of-hearing children with knowledge, tools, and confidence.

Each workshop begins at 7:00 PM and focuses on practical guidance families can use right away from language development and interpreting services to IEP navigation and understanding educational pathways in South Carolina.

These sessions are ideal for parents, caregivers, and professionals who support children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Way to go Lexington Police Department! South Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

The Lexington Police Department was recognized during today's Special Olympics South Carolina South Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics luncheon for their fundraising which helped support the over 30,000 Special Olympics athletes in our state.

Law enforcement agencies throughout South Carolina raised over $1,260,088 last year which provided funding for athletes who participate in 26 different sports.

Meet Lise Smith, half of the incredible Talk to Me Sis duo. 🩷

Lise is a mother, advocate, and storyteller who truly gets it. She has walked a road familiar to many of our Lex One families, facing diagnoses, divorce, seasons of rebuilding, and the deep love that shapes life while raising a child with special needs.

She will be sharing her lived experience, hard earned wisdom, and the hope that comes from knowing you are not alone. If you have ever felt unseen, overwhelmed, or unsure of the next step, Lise’s story will resonate deeply.
