Laughing Club is a wellness practice intended for actors, performers, and anyone with a desire to explore the benefits of laughter. This workshop is for adults ages 18 and older. Chris Bayes is the founder and director of The Pandemonium Studio.

“Christopher Bayes is a master, an extraordinary visionary who has done more to liberate young American actors over the last two generations than I can possibly express. His classes in Clowning are philosophical manifestos; the power of his laughter inextricable from the depth of his spirit.” (Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director, The Public Theater)

Theater education, unlike most subjects in school, provides children with real-time feedback. Students are guided to make adjustments while they work, which helps develop confidence, mastery, and a personal relationship to the arts. Unfortunately, many elementary schools lack funding for the arts.

Scholarship applications are open! As a nonprofit organization that serves children in Rhode Island, access to education is one of our founding principles. We are committed to providing scholarships for as many students as possible.

To be considered for a need-based scholarship, visit studioplayground.org/financial-aid.

Thank you to our Board of Directors and the generous individuals and businesses in our community who make these opportunities possible. If you would like to support our students, please consider a donation to our Camp Fund. Studio playground is a 5013C nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible.
