Tomorrow, for the first time in over 50 years, the White House is hosting a conference on nutrition. This is a monumental opportunity for experts in the space of nutrition and policy to come together and update our policies to address the burden of chronic disease caused by ultra-processed food.

Dr Mark Hyman Invites all of us to join live tomorrow September 28th at 8:30 am Central time to view the panels on food as medicine, nutrition, and more.

If you care about nutrition and making real, whole food more accessible, I encourage you to be on live. I will put the link in the comments.

When our bodies become toxic, every one of our systems can become affected. Dieting cuts calories but often not your toxic load which results in rebounding.

You can’t eliminate toxins entirely, but you can definitely flush them and reduce exposure to endocrine disruptors. And once you get the hang of it, you can live clean and green without much effort.⁣⁣

My system helps you flush the toxins and then we create a food menu designed to support your health goals. If you want to learn more, let’s chat.

The right tools make all the difference.

A while back my magic bullet broke and I was super sad to throw it away. I think we had been together for like 15 years. 😂

I tried my blender bottles and a regular blender but it just wasn’t right. I couldn’t put spinach in my blender bottle. It wasn’t convenient to put the blender in the fridge.

I was so excited when I found this beauty! It blends in the bottle or a full size blender. I can make and take my green smoothie in seconds.

If you need help finding the right tools for health or nutrition, let’s set up a free consultation. Message me, comment below, or fill out my form pinned on this page.

*I do not sell this blender. But I will put my recipe in the comments. 😉

If your mind is always jumping ahead to what might be next, you miss the opportunity to fully live what is now!

Be patient, be thankful, and let life come at its own pace.

Stop looking so much at the clock, and focus more on your purpose❣️Tomorrow can wait while you make today great!

⏰️ If you hurry, concerned that you don’t have enough time, you’ll waste much of the time you do have.

✍️ Take the necessary time and give sufficient attention to each task, so as to get maximum value from it.

Live each moment with deliberate, peaceful purpose, not with hurried, worried anxiety.

💥 In your eagerness to get ahead don’t leave the opportunity of this day behind.

Be ambitious while also being patient about it.

🍇Then you can truly enjoy the fruits of your ambition.

I forgot my hat at football practice. I thought to myself I hope I don’t forget it next time. And then I stopped and reframed that thought. I will try to remember my hat next time.

Did you catch the difference? The brain focuses on the verb. The first sentence said “forget.” It doesn’t matter that it said don’t forget. The brain skips over that part.

The second sentence said “remember.” I want to remember so that’s the language I need to use.

If you want to learn more about tiny habits and how to use your brain to your advantage, message me for a free consultation.

Have you ever eaten something and felt your mood get worse? It’s not your imagination. Foods can positively or negatively affect mental health.

Here are some of these “bad mood foods:”

😤Vegetable oils
😠Trans fats
😤Meat alternatives that are highly processed and full of other inflammatory substances
😠Artificial sweeteners (from a 2018 study associated with irritability, depression, insomnia, and anxiety)
😤Pesticide-laden produce can cause cognitive and behavioral problems

What can you do?
💡Avoid fried foods, processed foods, and artificial sweeteners
💡Read labels for added sugars, sodium, colors, and flavors
💡Wash produce carefully and/or buy organic
💡Choose mood boosting foods like berries, water, avocados, salmon, and dark leafy greens.

No matter how much you like working out or eating clean and healthy .... you can NOT out run, out cardio, out CrossFit, out lift, out yoga, out diet or out medicate an unhealthy gut. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Gut health is primary to one's long term success. I always spend time during the consultation process asking my potential clients about their digestive functions.

Gut health is impacted by what we eat, what we drink, how much we exercise (or sit), stress, and even what think about.

If you want to know more, I’d love to share my knowledge and research with you! Message me or comment below to set up a free consultation. ✨⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We understand that fruits and vegetables are good for us, but many of us don’t understand which ones to eat or why.

I love teaching my clients about eating the rainbow. Try to include one color from each color category throughout the week. For example, have blue and red berries in your smoothie, leafy greens with your lunch, purple carrots and orange and yellow bell peppers at dinner.

The more variety you have each week, the more benefits you receive from the unique plant and bacteria profiles. Check out the chart for some tips.

If you want a personalized plan to improve your health, message me for a free consultation. Or join me for my free webinar January 8, 2022.

I talk to people a lot about adding to their meals and developing a healthy relationship with food.

So what does that look like? Last weekend we had pizza for dinner. Now pizza on its own is not very nutritious. (Notice I didn’t say it’s bad for you.)

So I added to it. It had protein in the meat and the cheese and carbs. I added flax seeds and pineapple. If you don’t do pineapple, you also could have added sun dried tomatoes or artichoke hearts. You get the idea.

I also added a lettuce salad as a negative calorie preload which means I ate the less calorie dense part of my meal first and started to fill my stomach before I had the pizza.

We are almost to 2022! If you want to learn more about changing your relationship with food, message me. I offer a free nutrition consultation.
