Welcome to February !
This month is commonly thought of the month of love. While the first thing that comes to your mind might be love for a partner or others, I am encouraging myself and you to consider first, the love and relationship we have with ourselves. This is truly the foundation of all other love.
In my newest podcast episode "The Love You’ve Been Looking for Starts Here" may be a helpful it the idea of this feels hard.

I am sharing this photo that my dad recently shared with me of him and I when I was a little girl. If self love feels far away, it can help to find a picture of yourself when you were little. Maybe if is easier to show this version of you love. It can be a place to start.

This month, I will have many opportunities to explore the different kinds of love in many ways.

1. A poem I shared with my membership this morning:
I Have Been a Thousand Women...
"Make peace with all of the women you once were.
Lay flowers at their feet. Offer them incense + honey + forgiveness. Honor them, give them your silence- listen.
Bless them + let them be.
For they are the bones of the temple you sit in now.
For they are the rivers of wisdom, leading you toward the sea."
~Emory Hall

2. Yoga- 2 opportunities:
* Soulful Serenity Yoga Class with Faith Lauterbach Monday 2/2 at 7pm at Yoga Together Lincoln This Slow flow + Yin yoga class could be a perfect start to knowing and loving yourself more.
*Restorative Yoga + Sound bath with Pure Sound Alchemy on Monday 2/16 at 7pm. Another way you can show your self love by allowing for rest for your nervous system.

3. The Love your REAL Life Membership:
Try it out in the month of February! Inside this space I offer many different ways to honor your self. Meditation, yoga, daily practices to help build your mind, body and spirit, meal ideas, workshops and help with planning your days, weeks and month to support the life you want to create.

4. Real Life Monthly Reset:
Reflect on January and plan February with intention!
2 options on zoom:
Wednesday 2/5 at 7pm CST
Thursday 2/6 at noon CST

The longer I live the more I learn that life is a constant opportunity to learn and grow and I am trying to be curious with myself and others on this journey.

Do you feel overwhelmed—like life is moving fast and you can never quite catch up?
If so, routines might be exactly what you need.

At its core, a routine is simply an action (or set of actions) done consistently. And while routines can sound boring or rigid, they actually create more ease, calm, and freedom in your life.

Here’s how routines support your health
~More efficiency – less distraction and decision-making
~Better sleep – fewer racing thoughts at night
~Less decision fatigue – more mental clarity
~Lower stress – more breathing room in your day
~Healthier habits – movement, meals, and self-care fit more naturally
~More presence – less mental clutter, more connection
~More time for what you love – walks, rest, coffee with friends, hobbies

Common routines that make life feel lighter:
• Morning
• Evening
• Meal planning
• Movement/exercise
• Weekly planning
• Work routines

Routines don’t limit your life—they support it. Small, simple routines can create big changes over time.

Have you ever started a new routine feeling motivated and hopeful—only to drop it a few weeks later?

Maybe it was a morning routine, a going to bed earlier routine, an exercise habit, gratitude journaling, or a nutrition reset. At first, it felt exciting… and then life happened.

If that sounds familiar, I want you to know this:
You’re not failing at routines.
Most of us are simply starting in the wrong place. And where we starts matters- it's the foundation.

We usually begin with what we should do—
instead of starting with something that will help the routine be supportive- how we actually want to feel.

And that one shift changes everything.

When we start with "shoulds" we start with guilt and shame.
When we start with how we want to feel- we start with purpose.

1. Ask yourself how you want to feel
2. Once you know how you want to feel- ask yourself what is the intentional action to help you feel that way.
3. Then start small- what is the easiest version of that action. This is something that is so easy, it almost feels embarrassing and something you can do every day.
4. This step is optional, but for some people it feels helpful- name what your ideal version of this action is.
5. Some days you meet the baseline and some days you meet the idea and some days you do something in between- sometimes just the momentum of the baseline encourages more.
6. The key is that you are creating consistent action which is helping you feel the way you want to feel.

You don't need a perfect routine, you just need one that helps you love your REAL Life!

Comment below- I would love to know your thoughts and how you are going to use this to create something in your life.

So grateful for meaningful connections ✨ I had the joy of attending an event on Sunday and then sharing tea with Sara, co-owner of My Wellness Center, today. I loved learning more about the heart and story behind her business and having such an aligned, inspiring conversation about future collaboration. Beautiful things happen when wellness-minded women connect 💛

You don’t need a perfect plan to feel better.

You need consistency, compassion, and support — especially in real-life seasons that are full and unpredictable.

What’s one small way you’re choosing yourself today?

Stress is part of the human experience. A completely stress-free life isn’t realistic—but how we prepare for and respond to stress can change everything.

Think about a football player. Their daily practice, nutrition, mindset, and routines all prepare them for game day. If stress is the game, then our daily habits are our training. When we live intentionally, we build resilience so stress doesn’t hit us as hard when it shows up.

Here are 7 holistic techniques that support your mind and body when stress comes your way:

✨ 1. Start with mindfulness & awareness
Naming your stressors gives you clarity—and clarity gives you options.
Try a brain-dump journal when you feel overwhelmed.

✨ 2. Check in with your thoughts
Our thoughts shape our emotions. When worst-case scenarios take over, ask:
“What if this goes right?”
End your day by writing down 3 wins—even the small ones matter.

✨ 3. Move your body daily
Movement releases tension and boosts feel-good endorphins. Walk, dance, stretch, lift—choose something you enjoy.
Bonus points if you get outside!

✨ 4. Fuel your body with balanced nutrition
Stress increases cravings, but whole foods help stabilize energy and mood.

✨ 5. Prioritize restorative sleep
Stress and sleep impact each other deeply. Create a calming evening routine and give your nervous system a chance to wind down.

✨ 6. Reach out to others
Talking things through can bring comfort, clarity, and perspective.
Take a walk with a friend for a double benefit.

✨ 7. Practice relaxation & play
Joy and play aren’t optional—they’re part of healing. Even short moments of fun help regulate stress. Make space for what brings you joy.

Stress will come—but with intentional habits, you can meet it feeling grounded and prepared 🤍

P R E S E N C E

This is my word for the year.

Being here.
With my body.
With my people.
With my work.
With the sacred moments

Presence looks like listening to my body, staying with the moment, and choosing what actually matters—again and again.

What word is guiding you this year?
