8 years ago we started Abigail’s count me in drive with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank

It was an emotional time for us and our family. Being so frustrated with a rare and life threatening situation. Not knowing what to do with all the energy and frustrations of having a sick child . I decided to turn bad energy into a good. I started Abigail’s angels page

Along the way we formed some amazing life long bonds and have a huge support group from our friends of Abigail’s angels page and the Nebraska community blood bank.

It is so important to remember that giving blood saves a vast amount of people. Not just those from traumatic injuries but people with medical issues such as a bleeding disorder, mothers who deliver babies and even those babies sometimes need blood to survive.

Please give the gift of life this holiday season and donate!! You could be saving a life like Abigail’s. Because of blood donors we got to have an 11th birthday for Abigail when we where scared we wouldn’t have a 2nd or a 3rd.

As the first week of school comes to an end now is a good time to remind all of you Angels that blood donations are still in need! Let's work together and keep our blood recipients such as Abigail healthy so they can continue to learn and have fun!!!

Stay cool this weekend! Abigail is enjoying this summer and staying healthy and happy with her family! This is the time of the year that your blood donations are needed! Save a life so family's like us can enjoy their loved one smile like this little beauty! Thank all of you Angels for giving the gift of life to us! Many blessings to you! Earn your angel wings by donating blood or if you are unable to donate, recruit someone to donate for you!! Keep the gift of life going!

We have had a beautiful Mother's Day here with Abigail. She made breakfast for her mommy! We flew kites and watched the Blue Angels fly in an air show today. This beautiful day is a gift from all of you Angels who donated blood and promote blood donations. Thank you for giving the gift of life! Thank you for being an Abigail's Angel!

The memories on my Facebook have been hard this season. This was the time of year we almost lost Abigail to ITP!

I can't say how thankful I am that she is here with us. The people who donate blood and encourage your family and friends to saved her life!

Please, please keep it up! Donate blood, if you are unable to get a friend or family to in your honor.

Abigail may not need your gift of life someone does!

Well all, Abigail had a little mishap Monday night. She stepped on a peace of glass and cut her little foot. She ended up needing surgery to be sure it was all cleaned out. She is home and doing well. The doctors and nurses where extremely good to her and her platelets where normal. So please give her well wishes on a speedy recovery and thanks again for being an Abigail's Angel! Without people like you a little cut on the foot could have been deadly!

Abigail may not be able to donate blood but she can donate her hair to locks of love :) she is so special and super excited that she got to give her hair to someone who doesn't have hair. Thank you all for being an angel and saving her life!
