Happy Saturday from up River!!

First let me start by wishing Brian Muenger, the city manger, the best of luck on his new adventure. He has been a BIG asset to the City of Pell City and will be greatly missed!!

Now if your like me this weekend will be getting the house ready for Turkey day!! Post those fall decor photos in the comments, I definitely need some ideas!!

If you are looking to go out or buy Thanksgiving instead of cooking here are some ideas and places open:

Today is also opening day of gun season for those deer hunters!!

Happy Saturday from up River!!
Can you believe we have been doing this for 2 years...wow time flies!! This whole post started as an idea to spread some positivity, honor those around us and highlight local. Thanks to everyone who has participated over the 2 years!!

So food this week I'm going to highlight Blue i Bistro they have this amazing bacon, blueberry jam grill cheese, as crazy as it sounds it was amazing!! The fries are seasoned with a Ranch season, you will eat everyone!!

Now that Halloween is over it's time to enjoy fall!! so first on the list today is a great way to do it!

1. Fall Festival- 3pm to 7pm- Cowboy Church at St. Clair Agriculture & Multi-Event Center today go enjoy hay rides, petting zoo, chili, pumpkin patch and so much more!!

2. Gather at the Garden- 5pm to 7pm at 3705 Mays Bend Road.
This is a Fall Fundraiser event!! There will be food and live music.
$20 ticket gets you a chance to win a freezer full of beef and pork!! This event is put on by The Pell City Gateway Community Garden which is a 501(c)3 dedicated to fight hunger in our community!

3. Alabama Bass Federation Tournament is going on now with the weigh in at 3PM at Lincoln's Landing. This is my favorite time to fish so this should be a great weigh in!!

4. Lincoln Baptist Church is hosting Fall Festival today 4pm to 6pm- located at 21 Chestnut St, Lincoln

5. Go to an Auction!! Auction House located at 3523 Pope Ave, Steele today. Doors open at 4pm and auction starts at 6pm. Check them out on FB for more details. If you have never been to an auction, you should it's always fun and great deals.

Happy Saturday from Up River!!
Boy what a weather change!! Fall is in the air!! Keep an eye on tomorrow, looks to be one of those rainy days good for catching up on your favorite show!!
Let me start with saying congratulations to all the winners this year Pell City Chamber of Commerce Well deserved and all great assets to our community!
Also reminder today, there will be a large funeral going through Pell City at 1pm today. There will be ATV's in this so be mindful and respectful as they go through.
So here are some ideas for today:
1. Lincoln Truck or treat Lincoln Alabama Parks and Recreation for all the info but starts today at 6-9pm located at 1584 Hollys Hills Road, Lincoln.
Stop by and see the EXIT Coosa River bunch!! We will be there representing our company and the Talladega County Board of Realtors
2. LARGE Yardsale located at 21399 Hwy 231, Pell City till 12 today!!
3. Trunk or Treat at Pell City Walmart today 6-8pm
4. Witches Ride!! This event supports The Arc of St Clair County, Alabama Located at the Moody Civic Center starts at 4pm.
5. Pell City Animal Control Center is open for adoption!! Stop by and see these babies!!
There are multiple Trunk or Treats coming up so feel free to post and I'll get a list out! I know Monday afternoon at the movie theater will be a big one, stop by and see us!
Food, well this morning we are going to run by and check out Aztecas Mexican Grill I keep hearing great things about there breakfast!!

Happy Saturday from Up river!!

Congrats to Pell City Football on a great homecoming win!!

Food this week well it was The Pell City Steak House for the win for me, that BBQ baked chicken was so tinder it must melts. There truly wasn't a bite left!!

Get out an enjoy today!! There is finally much needed rain on the way with a cold front behind it so it is for sure going have a different feel the next few days. Here are some suggestion:

1. Camp Winnataka's Pumpkin Patch located at 260 Winnataska Road, Pell City today will have games, face painting, gem mining and Pumpkins!!

2. Wattsville Fire Department- 12-5pm today is having a fall festival. FREE Food, drinks, bounce house and FREE SMOKE ALARMS.

3. Grand Opening!! Relics & Roses- 3045 Old Coal City Road, Pell City from 10am to 6pm. This is a new event venue opening so it be cool to go and get a first look!

4. Yard sales!! Fox Hollow is having their community wide yard sale today and tomorrow!! Also saw a yard sale sing off Dickie Drive going into Seddon.

5. Turner Family Farms don't forget they are open for business!! They have also added The Gathering Cup coffee shop right there on location, this is some great coffee!!

Happy Saturday from well Hatchett Creek this morning. Yep it's that time of year in to get the work days in for the hunting club.

What a great week this week that we got blessed with some much needed rain!!

Food wise this week, I had to have a big home made burger so while in Lincoln I stopped by Half Time's and man the Big Lincoln was worth every calorie!! Also the new Mexican restaurant La Luna is open AND The The Tiki Hut has reopened for Saturday.

Also if your in town stop by and support The Grove if you want a light smoothie, salad or a healthy sweet treat, this is your place!!

So here you go, get out and do something this weekend, there is plenty:

1. The TIKI Hut- Skiers Marine Boat Show
Boat show is 10am to 3pm
Restaurant open 9am to 4pm
Tiki Hut 11am to 4pm

2. Homestead Hollow Fall Festival- open from 9am to 5pm today and tomorrow. Adults are $10, no pets allowed. Live entertain, arts, crafts, vendors and food. This is always a good time.

3. Alabama Butterbean Festival- 8am to 4pm
This event is located at 7433 Quail Ridge Dr, Pinson
I mean I know it's not local but who doesn't love a good butterbean :)

4. Howard Family Farm- 3706 Moody Parkway, Moody
Fall Fest & Pumkin Patch is open!! let me say wow at the pumpkins they have!!

What to give a shout out to a local. landscape Supplies if you are looking for some beautiful Mums to get that porch looking perfect for fall, they had some of the largest beautiful ones I've seen!! Located at 45920 Highway 78, Lincoln stop by and take a look and support local!!

Happy Saturday from up river!! The weather today is going to be amazing!!

I do want to start with saying Happy Anniversary to do to my loving best friend, biggest support and rock Jeff Greene, happy 22 years my love!!

Congratulations to both Pell City Panthers and Lincoln Bears on great wins last night!!

OK lots to know and do this weekend:

1. This morning from 8 to 1 Rachel Spates is having an amazing yard sale at 70 White Way Drive, Cropwell, you could even hit this by boat!! Rachel Jefferson Spates

2. LAST CALL at the Tiki hut!! After Monday it will next summer until you get that amazing burger and tiki drinks! They are having bands this weekend and last call today will be the end of the Bama game. The Tiki Hut

3. The 43 Rodeo but on by Broken Arrow Rodeo- guys this is a great thing that raises money for local scholarships.
7pm inside the St. C lair County Arena in Odenville. Cash only at the gate.

5. Pirate starting at 830am to 11am today will have breakfast!! Happy Hour 2-6 with Game day Specials. Live music Sunday starting at 3-6pm. Got to get those burnt ends, they were great!!

Mid 80's, sunshine and no rain...get out and enough the world around you...of course there will plenty of places with football on today!

Happy Saturday from up River!!!!

You made it, it's Saturday!!

Let me start by saying happy birthday to 2 of my favorite Pell City people Anna Emerick and Tamra Butterfield!! Hope you to have an awesome day!!

OK food this week well I had a craving for donuts so I visited Brian over at daylight donuts and go a cinnamon twist..MAN those are amazing!! Then I had to check out all excitement of Licking Good Donuts over in Lincoln...let's just say now I remember why I had to loose 70 pounds. Stop in and support both these local guys you will not regret it!

SHRIMP BOIL TODAY!! Wade over at Butt's to go let me know his Moody location will be having a shrimp boil today!!

So here's what's up today:

1. Lincoln Summer Concert Series- last one!! Deputy 5 will be playing!! Starts at 6pm, completely free!! Bring some chairs- 722 Magnolia St, Lincoln.

2. POKER RUN!! Registration starts at 1030 to 1130 at Pier 59!! Benefits the Logan Martin Civitan club!! I hear Rodney's Marine will have some great boats to check out!

3. Docks Bar and Grill is open at 10am for Saturday Brunch!! Check out the menu on their FB Page

4. MOVING Sale!! 27 Mimosa Row, Pell City

5. Aztecas Mexican Grill has breakfast today and tomorrow starts at 730 am to 1030am!!

Happy Saturday from well Talladega Creekside this morning.
Talladega Creekside Resort

We decided to get one last float trip in, we absolutely love this place! There are cabins you can rent so its great to get some friends together, float, cookout and just enjoy some fellowship.

Also to through some food in there right up the road you MUST try Big Daddy's BBQ. It is amazing burgers, bbq and the fixings!

So here is what is going on to:

1. The Black Jacket Symphony will be at the CEPEA tonight at 730pm doing Jimmy Buffett. They do an amazing job so this should be a great show!

2. World's Longest yard sale!! This is always an adventure! Starting around Gadsden I have found some great stuff over the years!!

3. 2025 Alabama Jeep Jam & Ducked up Competition today- 6755 Curry Station Road, Eastaboga

4. LARGE CAR SHOW happening today at the Shops of Grand River

5. Courtyard Pell City will have live music this afternoon starting at 5pm!!

Just a reminder coming up next weekend is Logan Martin Civitan Club 15th annual Poker Run- Register at Pier 59- yall look up Pier 59 on FB miss Deb has all the info!!

Turner Family Farms is looking for seasonal help if you are looking for a side job or have a kid looking.

Also Boo Bash is coming up and registration is open if you want to be part of it from land.

Happy Saturday from up River!!

What a week, I'll be honest I'm no even sure if I remember any Coldplay songs sssoo guess I'm safe on that one..ha ha

I do want to say thank to Greg Crump for your years of service to our community, wishing you well on your next chapters!!

Both Pell City and Lincoln football teams have been working hard in this heat so I'm excited to see all their hard work payoff this year, hard to believe we are just a few weeks from school.

So food this week well date night I had the Asian wings at The Tavern at The St Clair which were surprising hotter than I expected but very good.

I do want to suggest B's Grill also on Hwy 34...man everything is good there and that baked potato is more than I can eat!!

So here we go, what to do:

1. Pell City Bulls on the Lake!! At the sports complex, gates open at 5pm, $20 tickets and bull riding starts at 8pm. (as a person married to a prior bull rider I love these!!)

2. Watermelon Festival!! Howard Family Holiday Farm starting at 9am. Crafts, food trucks, vendors and a ice cream eating contest!! Located at 3706 Moody Parkway, Moody

3. Lincoln Summer Concert Series tonight!! Free event starts at 6pm located at 722 Magnolia St, Lincoln. Night Train starts at 6pm. Food trucks will be there so bring a chair and enjoy!

First Congratulations to Keith Clements and Ginny Lou..it's wedding day! Happy 40th Ben Bludsworth!!

If you missed it as part of a restocking program there were 20,000 largemouth bass released into Lake Logan Martin yesterday!!

so lots to do today!!
1. Dam Palooza- starts at 11am, come tie up at the dam and enjoy live music from 90 Proof and DJ-IV.

2. 2nd Annual Rodeo & Rhythm at Greensport- 130 Greensport, Ashville. Doors open at 5pm for rodeo, Rodeo stars at 7pm. Music to follow after.
Justin Jeansomme playing- he opens for Red Cay Straights!!!!

3. Lincoln Summer Concert Series starts at 6pm in Randolph Park
Free event!! Tonight featuring Stay Tuned (one of my personal favs) bring a chair or a blanket enjoy win prizes while enjoying an awesome band!!

4. Bella Vista Winery Grand opening!! Opens today at 11am- 1155 Walkers Crossing, Pell City
Go enjoy a wine tasting and some snacks

5. Rushing Springs Baptist Church is having a big in door yardsale!! 9796 Stemley Rd, Lincoln

July 3rd- Clear Creek and Back The Back Porch Restaurant on Logan Martin starts at dark

July 4th- City of Pell City at dark (always a big deal) over at the city park...amazing by water to see all the boats!

City of Ashville at the square is having fireworks at dark but also starting at 3pm food trucks and vendors down town

Greensport Marnia fireworks at 9pm

July 5th- River's Edge Marina and Tiki Hut starting at 630pm will have live music and fireworks at 9pm

Lincolns Lincoln's Landing at 9pm- tune into to 94.1 FM The River for music with the show

Happy beautiful sunny Saturday from up river!!

Who is excited today to get today and just enjoy the day?

First today I want to say good luck to Garrett and Graham Knight of the PCHS Fishing team, they are heading out to Oklahoma to represent in Nationals. Best of luck boys and lines tight!!

Other exciting news, Blue i Eatery just announced they will be opening in the Betty's Cafe location in Lincoln. A little remodeling and they will open, welcome back guys!!

Congrats to Justin Burns as the new superintendent of Pell City Schools, I've had the pleasure in Leadership St. Clair County spending time with Mr. Burns and he brings some great energy!!

Food wise- if you are out and about this morning swing by Aztecas in Pell City and check out there breakfast!! The 27th they are teaming up with the Houston Project and Aztecas are teaming up to feed Veterans and first responders, what a great thing!! So let's so them some love!!

As far as events this weekend is kind of slow but next week...WOW more stuff to do than you can get in!!

So today from 7-10 at go to Pier 59 and check out live music with Aslen Weaver- she is fantastic!!

Happy Saturday from well Fort Morgan this morning. Quick trip for the Greene household.

1st I want to say I was sad this morning to hear Betty's Cafe in Lincoln will be closing on June 20th, I just loved their Almond Joy coffee....make sure you swing by before they close and give it a try!!

Food wise this week for date night we rode down to the Porky Pirate but unfortunately didn't get to try it, still excited about trying it, I've heard good this.

I would suggest if your out on the water stop by and don't forget Piece of the Pie next store. Defiantly some great choices down river!! Also don't forget about The Ark, great seafood but that burger is my fav!!

If your out and about on land I saw a few yard sales going including one at 130 Fish Trap Dr, Cropwell.....stop by and tell miss Angie hello!!

So here is what's going on today:
1. 16th Annual Riverside Poker Run- Register at Riverside Landing starts at 1 cards due back by 2.

2. Courtyard Pell City will have The Jake Dial Band today 6-9pm

3. GBAHB Poker run- out of the Tiki Hut down on Rabbit Branch. Check in at 10am starts at 11am till 4pm. There is also an after party from 4-6pm (tell JK we sent you :) )

4. Pell City 2nd Saturday Cruise in starts today at 5pm located at the movie theater.

Stay tuned this week for 2 unsung hero's, one from Pell City and one from Lincoln. These are people in our lives that are just good people that make a difference in the lives around us. Just your everyday person who sometimes not knowingly spread some real awesomeness in everyday life!
