Starting today, Memorial Health has implemented temporary visitor restrictions on inpatient units at its five hospitals to help slow an increase in respiratory illness. Visitors must be 18 or older and show no signs of illness. Only two visitors are allowed per patient at one time. Read more:

The LMH Trailblazers can walk indoors for free on Wednesdays during the winter months at the Lincoln Area YMCA located at 719 Wyatt Ave. in Lincoln. No registration is required, and walkers are welcome between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 7, through March 25. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle.

Congrats to Preston Ebelherr, a CT technologist with radiology, and Colleague of the Month. A grateful patient nominated him for conscientious care he provided during a CT scan. The patient had numerous IVs and blood draws during previous months and was pleased that Preston placed the IV on the first attempt as well as his continued care through the CT scan process. http://mh.social/BMbZ50XBraX

Your donations to the Lincoln Memorial Foundation make a difference! In October, 29 mammograms were fully funded for uninsured and underinsured women as part of the Mammogram Mondays program. A total of 366 mammograms in Logan County took place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with four patients diagnosed with breast cancer.
