One of our own!! Love getting to do music with Odin each week. ❤️

Odin Frost, of Tyler, who lives with autism, cerebral palsy and apraxia, is breaking new ground in children’s television and challenging long-held assumptions about disability and communication.

He's the first non-speaking person to voice a character on a syndicated cartoon for his role on the PBS Kids series, "Carl the Collector."

💙 Today was one of those incredibly fulfilling days as an intern supervisor! I walked away feeling truly energized and inspired.
-
Over the past few years, I have had the opportuniy to watch students on their journey in the music therapy profession. Watching them grow and develop their skills.
-
It's always been my mission to ensure they experience the practical aspects of therapy that often go beyond what is taught in degree programs. Striving to create experiences where they balance between structure and flexibility.
-
Seeing their confidence grow and the connections they make in this vital field fills my heart with gratitude! 🌟

🎶 Lyric Analysis Spotlight: “I only see my goals, I don't believe in failure.”

These lyric reflects a powerful mindset: focusing on where you want to go instead of the obstacles in the way. When someone “only sees their goals,” it means they’re choosing determination, hope, and long-term vision.

And when they “don’t believe in failure,” it doesn’t mean things won’t get hard. It means they see challenges as part of growth, not the end of the story.

In music therapy, lyrics like this open the door for conversations about:
✨ Personal motivation
✨ Resilience
✨ Self-belief
✨ How we define success for ourselves

🎶 How does music help the brain connect?

Music activates multiple parts of the brain at the same time sound, movement, memory, and emotion all work together like a team. This makes it easier to build attention, communication, coordination, and emotional regulation.

It’s more than a song… it’s connection, growth, and a powerful tool for healing. 💙
