What an amazing day! SWAMTA’s conference out did itself. We are walking away with fresh music experiences and tons of ideas.

It was a joy to participate in the internship fair and meet the future of our profession, reconnect with past interns and colleagues who have moved through our site, and celebrate their growth.

If you would have told college me this is were I’d be now I wouldn’t believe you. Also, I realized I’ve been in the profession almost decade 🫣

Our long-standing vision has been to bringing advocacy and education to East Texas and delivering specialized services in rural areas.

Events like this remind me why it’s crucial to expand access to specialized care for clients who otherwise have few local options. 🎶

‼️ The answer: no ‼️

🎶 Mild impairments can still qualify, and early support often prevents bigger challenges later.

The best way to know if someone is eligible for services is a formal assessment, which evaluates strengths, needs, and the right level of care.

Odin Frost, of Tyler, who lives with autism, cerebral palsy and apraxia, is breaking new ground in children’s television and challenging long-held assumptions about disability and communication.

He's the first non-speaking person to voice a character on a syndicated cartoon for his role on the PBS Kids series, "Carl the Collector."
