If you need to make amends with a friend or a loved one, please let today serve as some leverage for you to get that done, since it is Kiss And Make Up Day, after all. If there’s a disagreement, come to an agreement and give peace a chance. Life’s too short to spend it angry. Be a better person, break the silence and (if appropriate) kiss and (otherwise, definitely) make up. Communication is often the solution to most problems, so smooth things over, talk them out and save the relationship, for the greater good. Oftentimes you’ll find that the argument arose out of a misunderstanding. Clearing the air is very important and will likely make both sides feel better mentally, physically and emotionally. Why is a “kiss” an important component for a day like “Kiss And Make Up Day”? Because when you kiss another person, it releases a congenial cocktail of chemicals that include dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin. (So when I say everyone will feel better physically, I really do mean it!) Who am I, you ask? Well, I’m a business owner who creates value for my customers by creating purse accessories for busy women to help organize their life. But I’m also someone who has had to kiss and make up with people in my life, so I speak from experience when I say that extending an olive branch and coming from a place of patience and love is critical to living a better life. I've had friends that I've unintentionally hurt and I've had to learn what my mistake was and apologize. So, I’m curious: What’s your tip for making peace with someone else? Symbolizing new beginnings, good fortune, joy and hope, daffodils are also often used as the logo of cancer societies and other volunteer organizations having to do with cancer awareness and prevention efforts. It’s great to celebrate World Daffodil Day as we go into the end of August, as it not only celebrates these bright beautiful flowers, but is also is a fundraising day that benefits these cancer-related charities directly, so if you can purchase a daffodil being sold at a Garden of Hope or other event near you to donate to the cause overall, why not? Look, I may be a business owner who creates value for my [clients, customers, students] by creating accessories to help busy women organize their purse. But I’m also someone who not only loves flowers like the golden glory that is the daffodil but also appreciates cancer awareness and cancer prevention organizations and the great work that they do.

Arguably, the most popular summer treat is the ice cream sandwich, and today is a day set aside to celebrate it! This is the delicious dessert sandwich that serves up happiness with every bite. While the ice cream sandwich traditionally is made with chocolate cookies and vanilla ice cream in the center, today pretty much any flavor will do! Now, if you like traditional tastes, far be it from me to sway you towards a new combination; a great way for you to celebrate today is for you to visit your local ice cream shop or stand and indulge in this classic creation with friends and family. However, if you want to walk on the wild side, today’s a great excuse for you to fire up Google and check out all the various ways to craft more daring culinary creations like Chocolate Black Bean Banana and Avocado Ice Cream Sandwiches. Or…you might want to attempt a gentler twist on the classic concept by using ginger molasses cookies with brown sugar bourbon ice cream in the center. You get the idea. You’re only limited by your imagination! You see, I may be a business owner who creates value for my customers by creating accessories to keep their purses organized. But I’m also a foodie who enjoys both the classics and the more updated unique twists that other fellow foodies create, and that includes the ice cream sandwich! My favorite is from .club made with snickerdoodle cookies and browned butter ice cream. Now, as a food lover, I have to know: Do you love a good ice cream sandwich from time to time, and if you do, do you love the classic version of this dessert, or do you prefer a more daring version of it?
