I completed post graduate course work today after four months to become a Certified Grief Counselor. Helping others through their grief is a privilege. I renewed my professional license for another two years -- not retired yet! -- and I see people in person and virtually at Central Counseling Center, Linwood, NJ.

Life is full of loss as we grow, age, and die. We grieve the "good old days," the high school parties, the college friends we no longer see, the job changes, health changes, friends moving and dying, and so many other situations. Some losses are expressed and some are kept quietly as we suffer alone.

Having experienced all of the above losses, as well as the deaths of my parents, husband, sibling, and friends, I am able to empathize with others in their time of need.

I will be certified in grief therapy in August 2024 after completing several months of continuing education through Stockton University. . Since I have dealt with many losses in my own life, I am especially interested in working with clients dealing with grief. Over many years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside those struggling with grief. It's never a quick fix. Memories are forever.

At Central Counseling Center, Linwood, NJ we offer in person and virtual sessions. Since Covid, many therapists are only seeing clients virtually. We at Central Counseling Center offer in person sessions also. Surprisingly, most of the clients I (Marguerite Heaton-Colella, MSW, LCSW) see want in person sessions.
