Today and everyday we celebrate the world of Autism !! April is Autism Month and today is World Autism Awareness Day .

Did you know Menstruators with Autism suffer from the following

*heightened menstrual symptoms
*extremely painful periods
*heavy periods
*heavy bleeding
*extra sensitivity to certain menstrual products.

We serve 100’s of students with Autism and all abilities and this is why we have so many different options for Student Menstruators including disposable period supplies , reusable pads, wipes , toilet seat covers etc .

More Chances Period beloved in providing opportunities to everyone of all abilities and possibilities . When we started our mission we wanted to ensure that any and everyone who wanted to help end period poverty could work with us , we are proud to have several volunteers who are Autistic and who show the Arkansas along with the world that Autism is truly a Spectrum of Endless Possibilities and Abilities!!!💙💙💙💙💙💙💙 we value their dedication and hard work each and every day .

Fighting Period Poverty is not just cute graphics or catchy slogans !! More Chances Period was busy on last month!!!! We provided over 35,000Period Supplies in less than 30 days and our volunteers traveled over 400 miles to Students across the State of Arkansas . We have always made it a priority to get out and travel across the State to provide the supplies to rural communities as well that are often overlooked and forgotten about . We make these communities a priority!!! We will continue to serve with Consistency and Intensity.

This is the harsh realities of Period Poverty and Student Menstruators. They are missing out on opportunities to learn along with missing out on being able to even be able to work and earn money to buy period products!!!

We can not forget about the current Unaffordability of housing in Arkansas that has been deemed a crisis in Little Rock .

More Chances Period has some absolutely amazing volunteers on our team . We got a phone call late last week from one of our volunteers letting us know she had no plans for Spring Break and was able to drop off a box of Period Products to our friends overCALS Fletcher Library on last week. We provide Period Packages to our friends at different locations for Students who may drop in and while visiting have the unexpected happen. We are soo proud to support our friends over Library System.

We are currently collecting Period Supplies for several students who families are suffering from housing insecurity. The United States is experiencing a record level housing affordability crisis

Most recently right here in Arkansas the City of Little Rock has declared a Housing Crisis due to the increased number of families experiencing homelessness.

Over 70% of extremely low-income families pay more than half their income on rent, increasing the risk of homelessness.( National Low Income Housing Coalition)

We are wanting to ensure Student Menstruators who are suffering from housing insecurity can have one less barrier by ensuring they have period supplies and don’t have to miss school due to lack of . All supplies will be delivered directly to us using the above link. We still need about 144 bags of pads for the first option 4.99 and about 85 bags of the 2nd option to meet our goals to be able to assist.
