It’s with immense sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend, Dr. Joe Stallings.

Dr. Stallings loved family medicine with his whole heart and made an incredible impact on physicians, patients, and the medical community. As a Residency Program Director, he inspired and guided so many future family doctors, many of whom went on to become leaders in the Academy.

His influence, kindness, and passion for teaching will continue to ripple through generations. We’ve lost a true friend, but we’ll always be grateful for the legacy he leaves behind.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege to know him.

Arkansas AFP joined delegates from across the nation this past weekend to represent you at the AAFP Congress of Delegates! 👩‍⚕️

A huge thank you to our delegates Dr. Lonnie Robinson and Dr. Jeff Mayfield, and our alternate delegates Dr. Daniel Knight and Dr. Tasha Starks, along with President Dr. Justin Voris and Executive Director Mary Beth Rogers, for representing Arkansas family physicians with pride and purpose.

We are especially grateful for Dr. Lonnie Robinson’s incredible six terms of leadership — three as Delegate and three as Alternate Delegate — an unwavering example of dedication and service to family medicine.
