We're thrilled to share that McKenzi Wilkins, RN at North, has received the DAISY Award! McKenzi was recognized for her care with a post-surgical patient who was dealing with confusion and anxiety. She was careful to manage his care with compassion, even stopping an IV push midway to fetch ice packs when the patient complained it was causing a burning sensation. Congratulations, McKenzi!

Our Pets of St. Vincent this week are Beemer and Ozzie belonging to Lana Lambert, clinical educator in Hot Springs! Both cats were strays who came to Lana's house via the "cat distribution system." Beemer got himself stuck under the hood of Lana's car, while Ozzie got stuck up Lana's tree. They now enjoy plenty of good food and pampering. Lana loves having them, and they're very happy with their new home!

Congratulations to Fleeta Wiley, Food and Nutrition Services in Morrilton, on being named a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero! During the inclement winter weather, Fleeta stayed late and even overnight to make sure all coworkers could eat while snowed in at the hospital. Her hard work kept our clinical teams fueled and available during the winter storm. Thank you, Fleeta!
