Congratulations to Karla Gober, RN, at North on receiving the DAISY Award from the DAISY Foundation! Karla was recognized for her creative approach to meeting a specific need for an ICU patient. The patient was a new dad, but the baby couldn't visit in the ICU. So Karla timed his MRI screening to coincide with the time his newborn would be in the hallway so they could visit. It's that kind of out-of-the-box thinking that makes Karla a truly special nurse!

On this Sunday, we remember the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:3-5)

May we always look to show love to those whom the Lord has blessed.
