As some of you heard it’s CHD week and between myself and “LuLaRoe Battles” we are giving away 47 pairs of heart leggings to moms who have a kiddo with a heart defect and we also have some kids sizes to send the little heart warrior them-self to rock❤️💙

This is a big task and one I’m so happy to be apart of but it’s a ton of money to ship all these out so if you love leggings join me tonight at 5 pm MST for a live legging shop the box in my VIP group “LuLaRoe Monica Boyd-A Beautiful Mess” ...the proceeds from the legging live tomorrow will hopefully help me cover all the shipping costs🤞

Also if you know a heart mom or kiddo with a heart defect make sure to find the original post to nominate them to receive a pair. Monday I will be adding everyone’s name to a hat and will send leggings to as many as I can. Any leggings that are left will be taken to the cardiac unit at Children’s hospital in Denver.

❤️💙Today is an important day❤️💙

Hello everybody! As many of you know every year during February 7th-14th I have always made packages for kids with heart defects and today is the start of CHD (congenital heart defect) week💕 Sadly due to my Multiple Sclerosis progressing I had to stop making blankets for the time being but that is not going to stop me from giving and helping spread awareness!

So in honor of all these amazing heart warriors and their moms I want to giveaway pairs of LuLaRoe valentine leggings from my inventory that have hearts on them to these kids and moms and to top that off LuLaRoe Battles is also donating leggings! So we are giving away about 40 pairs 😍 This is amazing since hearts in the CHD community are significant and heart moms/heart-warriors rock hearts year round.

I would love to pick everyone's brains on which causes/organizations to raise money for. I need to start a list so I can get info on each one and submit some to Lularoe because if they approve the organizations on there end they match the donations.

My parents took 3 of my kids up camping this last week so Nate and I loaded up yesterday and went up there to meet them...we only went for a night but we had a blast.

Our next blanket is going to heart warrior Zena! Zena was born with HLHS and is 1 year old. Thank you Amanda Lynn Carpenter for sponsoring her in memory of your heart angel Alayna. 💕

"In July of 2014 we lost our daughter Zala at almost 9 years old to Late Infantile Batten Disease. 10 months later we lost our son Zabeon to a miscarriage mid term. We are now expecting a little girl at the beginning of May. We had gone in for several scans where they were struggling to get a good picture of her heart. On January 14th we were told that she has a severe congenital heart defect (CHD) known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). We were told later at another fetal echo that she also has a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), which is a hole in the septum of her heart, separating the ventricles.

HLHS is a severe CHD in which the left side of the heart is underdeveloped. The left side of the heart has the job of pumping oxygenated blood into the aorta, the large artery that carries blood to the body.

Zelena, who we will call Zena for short, as she will be our little heart warrior princess has a long, challenging journey ahead of her. We are so grateful that she has treatment/repair options available to give her the best shot at life. We know all too well, how it is dealing with a rare, fatal disease, where there are no options. SO we are VERY hopeful that things will go well for our little warrior."

Next up to receive their blanket is handsome Xander. He is 2 years old with HLHS. He is a Mott heart kid like Luke and is doing amazing after suffering from some unexpected strokes after his pre-Fontan heart cath last month.

"Blake was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome with mitral and aortic valve stenosis also has ASD, a leaky tricuspid valve and craniosyotonsis sagittal. He had the Hybrid at 9 days old, a heart cath for a restent of mesh wire at 3 months old due to clotting, Norwood and half Glenn at 5 months old, BT shunt placed in SVC bc it was abnormally top small, finished the rest of the Glenn at 11 months old and removed shunt. He was 8 lb 9 oz at birth 19 inches long. Never been tube feed, eats by mouth and took all bottle feeds by mouth. Is now 18 1/2 pounds. He has an 8 year old half sister Emma and his full blood sister died 2 years ago from the same heart defect, Aubree.

He loves cars, trucks, and dinosaurs. He also now can stand up on his own without assistance and will be walking soon! All of his care for cardio is done at Nationwide Children's hospital in Columbus OH. His has a wonderful single ventricle group of nurses and doctor. Also his surgeon is pheonomial 😊"
