Day 8 in the hospital/rehab. 🏥

Still here. Still healing. Still fighting this stubborn infection.
And still working on Sunshine cards! ☀️💛

The IV pole may be next to me, but purpose is still in me.

Nothing — not pain, not exhaustion, not hospital walls — can stop what God has called us to do through The Sunshine Act. This ministry was never about convenience. It is about obedience. It is about showing up with hope in our hands, even when we’re the ones who need hope too. Giving hope gives us hope.

If I can sit in this hospital room and write words of life for someone else, then that means purpose isn’t paused just because circumstances are hard.

God doesn’t waste seasons.
Not even hospital ones.

So we keep spreading sunshine. One card. One smile. One reminder that light still shines — even here. ☀️n

Just because I’m in the hospital doesn’t mean the sunshine stops!!! ☀️

I’m currently here fighting a serious infection in my leg… and while that’s a very real and heavy battle, it hasn’t taken my purpose away.

I’ve made it my mission that every single person who walks into my room feels the presence of God. From nurses… to doctors… to housekeeping… to loved ones — I want this room to feel like peace, not just pain.

If someone walks in carrying stress, fear, or heaviness… my prayer is that they’re able to take a deep breath the moment they step inside. That they feel calm. That they feel seen. That they feel His love.

The pain of this infection may have me in this bed….but my purpose is still alive and well!!!

So I’ll keep spreading sunshine the best way I know how — through the lords leading, through encouragement, and through the atmosphere I choose to create around me… even from a hospital room I will shine His light!!!

If you’ve ever wondered how we always seem to have sunshine on hand… it’s because we work on it.

Every chance we get!

We choose it on the hard days.
We choose it in the waiting rooms.
We choose it sitting in hospital beds.
We choose it when life feels heavy and uncertain.

Because bringing hope isn’t accidental — it’s intentional.

🎄 Merry Christmas from The Sunshine Act! ☀️

On this day we want to gently remind everyone that Christmas doesn’t feel merry for all.
For some, this time of year brings loneliness, grief, anxiety, or silent battles that are hard to explain. If that’s you—please know you are seen, you are valued, and you matter. You don’t have to carry it alone.

At the same time, if your heart is full and your days are bright this Christmas, we invite you to pause and remember those who are hurting. A small act of kindness, a check-in message, a moment of patience, or a listening ear can shine more light than you realize.

✨ The Sunshine Act exists for moments like this — to remind us that even the smallest light can break through the darkest days.
Let’s be intentional about spreading warmth, compassion, and hope to those who may be struggling behind closed doors.

This Christmas, let us not only celebrate the birth of Jesus our king but be the light for someone who needs it most. 🤍

We have an emergency situation here at The Sunshine Act!!! 🥸🥸

In the midst of trying to prepare our largest amount of sunshine for one singular event to date… We have completely run out of lifesavers and we are in need of roughly 5 bags of the large bags of lifesaver mints from Walmart. (I guess in a way, our life is needing saved right now! 😜 🤪)

We’re almost ready for Hometown Christmas — the Sunshine bags are coming together beautifully, and we can’t wait to spread a little light and encouragement this season!

These are such a small thing, but they bring so much joy to the people who receive them. 💛✨

☀️ Spreading Sunshine, One Smile at a Time ☀️

There’s something beautiful that happens when you hand a stranger a little piece of sunshine. At first, it’s just a simple yellow bag… but then you see it — their shoulders relax, their smile grows, and their whole spirit lifts just a little. You can feel their heart soften… you can literally see their day change. It’s amazing how something so small can remind a person that God hasn’t forgotten them — that kindness still exists, and that they’re not walking life alone. 💛

With The Sunshine Act, we don’t just pass out yellow bags…
We pass out hope.
We pass out encouragement.
We pass out reminders that people are loved, seen, and worth stopping for.

Every smile, every “thank you,” every teary-eyed hug reminds us why we do this:
